i know i know just saying, sucks I just used my last spiked boots and now must kill to gain BP faster, I just like to steer around maps when I drink, i can drink alot hence why i am out of spiked boots even though moonshine is ultra rare and i get them in the web more I will say, nothing more fun for me then having spiked boots with moonshine while playing this drunk...

Personally, I wouldn't care if they sold 1,000,000 BP for 5 dollars or something. The kind of bloodpoints it takes to get anywhere in this game, that is a drop in the bucket. So someone would have to pay quite a bit of money to max even one character out with purchases. Keeping the money flowing in means they will keep developing the game. And personally, I want them to keep developing the game. With all that said, I kind of doubt it will happen.

Yeah, I mean, why play a Behavior game when they get the exact model they're looking for in any EA game?

Why not sell addons you don't want and get in return bloodpoints? I have a shitton of flashlight, map and keys addons I don't want or won't use anyway.

No...and more no....I really enjoy this game and while Inplay casually, I get enough Bloodpoints to continue progression, even if its a grind...and have had no problem buying cosmetics that I enjoy...those are truly optional and my choice.  The ability to skip grinds/progression is a bane on video games that's beyond greedy for companies to implement & push.  It undermines the work and time mostmost of us have put into the game and would expound the issue of artificial grind (more of) to entice players to fork over money to progress faster.

Don't even SUGGEST such a ridiculously shi**y idea like buying progression. If such a thing was ever implemented, I will delete the game and never touch a product by this company again

Agree. There is no prize for ranking up faster is there? If someone buys their way to lvl 50, they still have to play to increase rank (assuming they want to).

I could play crappy or on bp events and still be lvl 50 at rank 20....Or when season resets.

Same as other games offering paid level boost.

Can anyone give an example of how it would hurt?

While I am past the point of paying to level a character, I would have appreciated it earlier while trying to level LF...I probably would have bought some bps to speed that process along.

    Missed $$ for this developer.

You lot championing such things don't have the foresight to understand that it sets a precedent for game companies/developers to rig games and their progression to accommodate people having to buy those microtransactions...pay to NOT play the game.

Don't be ignorant, this affects the entire gaming industry...to where save slots are being sold in fully priced games. It tells EVERY game company what's more easily pushed into games....I hate this line but it really rings true: "You are what's wrong with X".  Your wanton "I wanna skip this part" of the game exemplifies companies making grinds and gameplay worse because people will throw money at it...this all started with F2P mobile games, or games that were $1-5 ...its now a practice in games priced $20-60

This is so far off from the real cause of microtransactions but it's too late for me to type an appropriate response.

Dead By Daylight isn't gonna fix this problem so it's better if they lean into it, make some money and keep developing the game.

Hel yeah. Bloody sick of maps and map add-ons. I do my best to avoid them in the bloodwebs, but still end up with way too many.

If I couldn't sell them back, I'd rather give them to someone to might actually use them.

Alot of people would leave the game because it would be pay2win. The number of people who would leave the game for this reason alone would be quite large I imagine. I'm sure EA could ballpark a number. Que times would skyrocket overnight.

Alot of people would leave the game because part of the draw of this game for them is the grind. This drives the wait time up even further.

People, tired of waiting hours for a game, would find another game to play.

    This game dies completely.

At first, admittedly, they might turn a tiny profit off selling bps but they would lose more off future chapters and cosmetic item sells because who would buy DLC for a game no one plays?

@Rellewd tell you what, give me your Steam login data and whenever you're not playing, I'll play with your account, earning you a nice amount of extra Bp.

I guess I am not understanding how buying blood points is pay to win? I could play for hours to level up a character to unlock a teachable and probably rank up in the process, or I could buy blood points to do the same thing (and not rank up, so I would still be rank 20).

I don't see how people buying blood points would effect q times since it doesn't affect rank?

Again, having a p3 killer at rank 20 is something everyone can have when the seasons reset. Some people all ready have it so the only thing money is buying is time.

There isn't anything anybody can get from buying blood points that they couldn't get from farming (similar to a level boost in other games).

    Unless I am missing something?

Anytime you can pay money to gain any kind of advantage over another player in an online game it is pay to win. Yes, you can achieve the samething currently through farming. Being able to farm it, however, does not change the pay to win mechanic at all. It only adds witch hunting and bullying to the list of reasons not to introduce paying for bloodpoints.

Regardless of whether you agree with the opinion of paying for bloodpoints is pay to win or not, many people feel it would be. People are very passionate about anything that is, to them, pay to win (as they should be).

This passion would lead them to find other games as a form of protest against it being pay to win.

Less people in the game means longer que times.

Negative word of mouth means no one replacing those who left the game.

Enough with these damn topics. Is it the same lame person on alt accounts doing this BS? If you want pay to win because you feel entitled to being lazy when it comes to earning something then go somewhere else. FFS! Money may solve a lot of ######### but this is just getting rediculous. You pay to winners are part of the problem. Earn it or go elsewhere. Thanks for making me be an adult and an a$$._.

You can already buy Bloodpoints. Buy the Leatherface Chapter and the Spark of Madness Chapter. Leather has BBQ and Chili which can DOUBLE the bloodpoints earned in game. The Doctor is the best killer for grinding bloodpoints to a ridiculous margin of profit.

Combine the two with Distressing and Thrill of the Hunt for an absurd amount of BP. Add in offerings and witness BP gains that rival daily rituals.

If you really want to buy BP, just take my advice.

Pay to win would be if I could buy better perks than people who get them just by grinding. Which, by the way, this game already does.

How many brain cells do you have?

Keep buying bloodpoints to unlock and get better perks, derp.

Do you not understand the definition of p2win????

This "grind" is directly tied to perks for a multiplayer game so it give you a possible advantage over those who can't pay. If this was a single player game then it would just be a greedy tactic but since its a multiplayer game it would become P2W.

I don't think you understand what P2W truly means.

Having a lot of bloodpoints won't help you with this though. I spent millions and millions of bloodpoints to get a few addons I need and a TON of addons I don't need, and they have same rarity. That's just ridiculous.

Pay to win implies that someone who pays has an advantage over someone who doesn't. Which they don't. A person with enough time played has the advantage. Plus most perks don't take long at all to achieve, and you don't need meta build to play well, especially as survivor.

This game should never EVER give you the option to buy bloodpoints with money, it would become a pay to win.
But I do like the idea of trading in addons and offerings for bloopoints, maybe.
