Crows
I dont mind the Idle Crows. But I dont think you should be able to get them while within the killers terror radius. Had a game where that was running around my generator (as a claudette in green/white/brown I love tall plants) looking for me so long I got a crow and he found me. Apparently the game expects you to be able to walk/run around with them right next to you.

I think the crows are fine gets you moving. On a personal choice I'd prefer on indoor maps and inside buildings the crows are replaced with rats just makes more sense to me.

So you are complaining about the very reason they exist. Okay. So what do you think it's like for the killer in that situation? The person who can only find you by physical collision?

I mean, the crows worked as intented. You stood still for too long so you got classed as AFK. Maybe just accept a chase instead of playing the part of a tree?

That’s the entire purpose of crows for the killer.
Survivors can already hide scratches by walking, and there are DOZENS on nooks and granny’s for survivors to hide in on every map.

I don’t think they’re talking about AFK crows. They were simply up against a killer that pays attention to disturbed crows.

I get that it's meant to keep you from sitting doing nothing (TheClownIsKing, I was talking about AFK crows. I rarely see killers without Spies care about crows). And if you're standing doing nothing, or hanging out watching your team die, then yes, you deserve crows. But really, the best option is never "accept a chase" and get stabbed (especially since it was me, my one teammate, and one generator; running around instead of sneaking is ultimately what got us killed) the best option is simply not to get caught.
Playing as the killer, you have to learn to look for discoloration or movement to see hiding people. I get caught in the grass by most killers. Our Trapper just hadnt learned to check grass yet

My guy, have you played against blendettes on Macmillan and the saloon as killer? There's no 'looking for discolouration" there they're literally invisible lmao

Havent really had that on Macmillan. But Saloon definitely. I almost feel bad doing it sometimes but it's basically the only good hiding spots.
I've been expecting them to change the plants since that map came out.

I really don't have a problem with the crows - if a survivor is not doing anything for a specific length of time then I think it's pretty fair that the crows appear.
In circumstances where the killer is looking in an area for you, then it's not that difficult to get away from the area.

The game does want you to move while the killer is right there and still not be noticed. That would demonstrate your skill far more than would the killer's inability to see you.

How do they notice movements if you moved so little that you got a crow show up to get you to move?
Seriously... they were implemented to make you move, so killers can hone into your sounds.
Also find it funny that you are like, I am playing claudette and the killer should look for discoloration... don't you intentionally use the most camouflaged character in the game to counter act it?

If the game really cared about killers being able to locate people by something as small as the sound of breathing or footsteps, then maybe the killers wouldnt make sounds and footsteps that were so loud to themselves or make visuals such a large part of the game.
And I'd agree that being able to move while the killer is 10 feet away from you is a skill. However, it becomes near impossible if for instance the killer knows you are within an area and does circles looking inward. In that case, you can not move. It isnt possible to move without being seen. This is the scenario I originally mentioned.
Idle crows being little snitches is generally fine unless it's the not incredibly uncommon case above. And occasionally its amusing to have your bird companion. But then the time to lose the bird shouldn't be so long if you get up and leave.
As for Blendettes, it would be kinda dumb not to take advantage of it. The game put in a character that is hard to see dressed in greens and browns. Tired of bush Blendettes? Learn to look in the grass. People would say its dumb if a Wraith never cloaks or a Ghosty never crouches, but a survivor intentionally chooses to raise their ability to go unseen and its unfair?
Any decent survivor learns how to hide. And any decent killer will learn how to seek.
