The flashlight mechanics are uninteresting and boring on both sides.

1. From the side of the killer - why is there no way for me to somehow avoid being blinded while lifting the survivor and breaking the pallet? I can't do anything if I haven't taken the perk, it's just stupid.

2. From the side of the survivor - I cannot blind the killer outside the pallet and lift the survivor, only a full slowpoke cannot turn away if I suddenly run out of the corner and start shining a flashlight. Blinding in a pallet doesn't require any skill from me, again, it's silly and not interesting.

The solution is to make the blinding faster, but give the killer the opportunity to avoid it while breaking the pallet and lifting the survivor. If the killer reacted quickly, then he escaped the blinding, if not, the survivor won. It will be more interesting and dynamic for everyone.

Dedicated servers ****ed anything interesting with flashlights. And no, don't make full blinds any faster than they are now. That is a terrible idea specifically because dedicated servers exist, and blinds (as far as I can tell) are survivor-sided.

Well to avoid being blinded when picking up a survivor, you could try looking away where you think they will be if in the open or look at a wall while picking someone up. Also if they blind you at a pallet, it benefits you more than them because you can still hear their groans of pain or footsteps as they lose the distance they would have gotten if they kept running.

As for the survivor not having situations to blind the killer that often, just know that flashlights are in fact, weak. Flashlights mostly blind killers when they are locked in an animation.
