Cheaters using hook preventing cheats more often than ever before

There has been a rise of cheaters as of lately in dbd to which I am very disappointed to see. They used to be a rare sight, not ruining the fun of the overall experience because they came so rare and you could just jump out of the game not giving them the pleasure... but now, I see them every now and then, each having more aggressive and vast library of cheats in their arsenal, feels like being an npc in GTA against the player using all the cheat codes, there's no limits to what cheaters can do nowadays in dbd, whether it is complete immunity to attacks, walking through walls and on air, flash-speed run, invisibility, insta heal, etc...

The latest addition I have started to see in trend is now the not-so-new hook preventing cheat which makes the killer just freeze on a hook while the survivor keeps struggling free from their hold for free. If you try to hook or drop them, you freeze for a while. You literally can not do anything but let the cheater struggle free and make a fool out of yourself, losing precious time. Some people only run this cheat and nothing else, playing cocky all match because they know they can not get killed. They claim it as a bug and not cheat in the post-match-chat so that no one raises an eyebrow and reports them.

Heck, even when I see them use cheats, I still don't report them because I know the current report system is complete trash and I have brought this to the forums on multiple occassions, to which the moderators have said that they forward my thoughts to the dev team, which I am thankful for, I only hope they would do something about it.

The problem is, the cheaters are only increasing in numbers by each month and reports are not getting filed in efficient manner to stop the flood of new cheaters that come faster than people report them. We have a lot of people who only report cheaters using the ingame report system, thinking this does anything when it really doesn't. One needs to report ingame + capture gameplay footage as evidence + file an official form outside the game to make a succesful report. I don't even want to go into more detail how the report system sometimes fails and does not even send the form, more complicating the matter.

Despite having palyed dbd for years, even I came familiar with this horrible system only not too long ago, imagine a casual player having to know this when it is not explained anywhere in plain sight. And even if it was, how many do you think would go through this trouble to report someone when they have to do it more than once and multiple times in a month (Depends on how frequently you play of course, I tend to play a lot so I see more cheaters more often than a casual player).

I have seen many games in the past being ruined by the cheater community, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 being my most regretful memory far too long ago, yet it still reminds me how such a great game was eventually ruined by an overpopulation of cheaters in every single match. I do not want dbd to fall to that same future they are heading unless the current report system is improved and made fast, easy to use, encouraged, and responsive.

It has started to happen to me as well and it is very sad. The imbalances of the game and now it is even more difficult as killer because of hackers. Upon a quick search I have found multiple websites selling cheats and it’s a shame...I wish there was something we could do.
