When I was learning to play Clown, my bottle tossing skills were awful. There was a Steve who picked up on this and crouched ontop of a hill nodding his head at me to taunt. I chucked a bottle at him, but it went up and over. His head followed the bottle. He turned slowly and shook his head at me. I lowered my head and walked away in shame. Steve then spent the rest of the match trying to cheer me up lol.

Not to go off topic, but merciless killer can be achieved with a 3k??? This is news to me.

I remember this happened a few weeks ago i was Cherly agaisnt freddy in badham preschool. He gave me hatch.
He never said why but i think i know.
In the match i completed 3/3 gens that were completed,i looped him good(not in a toxic a way),& when there was 2 survivors i went for the flashlight save instead of letting them die in hook.Either he repescted the hard carry i did for my team or felt bad that i had some potatoes or ok players.

Not really posting this for clout but this is the most wholesome thing that's probably happened to me besides generally making friends.
When the mmr testing first went live, me and my best friend went against a wraith both having flashlights on his either first or second game of killer. He could hardly play. It was incredibly evident that he was new, and he got no hooks the entire game. He preserved though and didn't disconnect.
In the endgame chat me and my friend talked him through killer and what he was supposed to do, gave him some resources to learn from (he wanted to actively get better at the game) and I added him on my steam friends list. I didn't want to lose a potential new killer/survivor in the community to a patch that made me "bully" someone brand new to the game.
I bought him his choice of dlc. I felt so bad for ruining someone's first (or second I can't remember) game of killer to the point that he could hardly play. After an HR or so of advice and choosing, he chose the Freddy dlc because well, he'd heard from the internet that was the best one, and I went on humble bundle and sent him a steam key. Still talk to him on occasion, seems a genuine lad, asks me for advice on occasion.
Last I heard he was getting friends into the game post crossplay launch and was wanting ways to get cheaper steam keys so that he could pay forward the kindness I gave him. Hope he's doing well.

Rank 2 Ghosty Boi wreaks our team, me and another both on death hook manage to open the gates but I'm cut off and tell the other to bounce. I approach the other gate, GF is already there waiting.
I crouch once, and place carefully my trusty medkit in front of me. They crouch once, I open the gate, bow respectfully and leave.
Message them a GG and a thank you, and they shoot back a GG and a thanks for the medkit. I inform them the kit contains a Mountain Dew and a Snickers just for them, which draws a "gasp" response. I send enjoy.
Happy murder death kill time on the ol Xbox. An occasion when the messaging works out nicely.

Someone just sent me a good game comment even though I was a pretty poor killer that round. That was nice.
It might be more common on PC, but people don’t usually send comments through console, so I appreciate the effort.

Downing all the tea bagging SWF near the start of the game as Leatherface and leaving them slugged until they died.

As killer I give the last survivor hatch almost every match, especially when I blow through them with 2 to 3 gens left. I've had plenty of gg's and a couple of thank you's. Even had one where a toxic claudette was waiting for everyone to die while waiting for hatch but I caught her beforehand and accidentally killed the last person.
As a survivor I had a match with a friendly huntress because I had the same xbox profile picture as them. I tried giving the huntress a kill because they wouldn't have had bloodpoints otherwise but I was instead escorted to the exit by the buff russian lady. We chatted a bit after the match and I honestly had a blast.

Ahhh yassss truely wholesome. Even more truely Bubba.
With about 4min of free time at the end of such a match, you could have drawn out "teabag" a few times with fresh slugblood, called it art. ;)

Had a game the other night cosplaying as park ranger Billy where the first survivor I hit dc'ed, the next gave up, and left two in bunny costumes all on their lonesome. Played around with them for a bit so we all got points then started herding them to gens, somewhere along the way they found a key and got out. :) Played another quick game and after that sure enough on the next go around got my rabbit friends AND the folk what left them to dry. Didn't think they were a team from earlier behavior. Anyway, the mori was loaded and targets set. The bunnies recognized me once we were in and we danced around for a bit before the other two met a tragic end, carelessly falling onto hooks then tripping on a chainsaw. Tearjerking, let me tell you. Once the rabbits finished the gens I opened a gate and wandered around, cleaning up pallets and we went our merry ways once more. :)
7 -
A real shame they kept tripping and falling onto a chainsaw. Prolly should be more careful with their gaming life decisions...

Well, I have a few stories that have really showed me the kindness of strangers on this game. I like to think most people are nice and the toxicity is just loud at times.
A few weeks ago, I had a mission where I had to survive a trial as Nancy. I had just gotten the Stranger Things DLC and I had her at the impressive level of 8. So, it had been a night of frustrations until this one game. I was paired with two SWFs and another person at random and we ended up against a Blight in Lery's Memorial. An awful map for a character like Blight, but also a map where I can't, for the love of myself, find anything. The other random person get killed half through the match and we were one generator to go when I end up finding one of the SWF duo. He signals me to go to a place and asks me to stay there. I was basically hidden behind a pillar and I couldn't understand what was going on... until then the other SWF came and they opened the hatch (that was behind the pillar and I didn't see it) and helped me escape. I know SWFs get a lot of hate, but that was one of the nicest experiences I ever had with them.
In several occasions, I have had Killers allow me to farm points after people DC. Whether they end up killing me or not, I don't mind afterwards, but I appreciate the gesture after people DC.. it's not their fault nor my own, but it sucks big time when it happens really early on and for no reason other than "killer I don't like" or "oh, I was hit, I must DC".
7 -
Quick stage set: I main Hag, so on occasion, someone will DC the second they see me. That happened this game.
Anyway, we get down to the last survivor. I find Hatch - I know the Survivor is close, because Whispers is going off. I stand far away in the open for a few seconds, swatting at Hatch. It was a rough game due to the DC, figured last could have Hatch. He doesn't go for it. So I close Hatch to trigger the collapse. He can go to a door. Immediately, Survivor gets up from like 12-18 meters away and starts running for the exit.
I stand there blinking.
Another minute passes. End game collapse is halfway done. Still no end.
I go to the exit I saw him run to. No one's at the gate. Whispers is going off. I scan the area. I find him hiding in a wagon. He's looking at me, remaining still. I swat at him a few times. He realizes I see him. He runs. I'm like, "No dummy!"
I literally start chasing him, trying to cut off his exits away from the gate. There's about 5 times I could clearly hit him, but don't.
He finally seems to get the hint. He opens the gate and escapes with like 5 seconds to go.
We talked after the game - he was a Rank 17 player in a game with me and a bunch of high ranks. I'm assuming he queued with a friend or something and that friend must have gone AFK when I killed them (or was the one who DCed). He genuinely didn't understand what was happening. He thought I was taunting him and playing with my food. But yes, I told him sometimes killers let the last one go either after being impressed by a survivor or if the game wasn't fair.
That was probably my most wholesome DBD moment. lol

Like a week or so ago I had a game on Midwich against a Pig. Someone DC'd IMMEDIATELY upon loading into the map, so it was too late to actually cancel the match, and they had the DC icon on the hud as soon as it appeared. My friend and I felt really bad, but we did do a gen at first, and then we went looking for the killer. Wasn't sure if she'd actually be down for some farming so I tested the waters with the crouch and boop, she accepted, and we had a really fun time (at least I hope she did as well!). She led us to the boxes, even crouched and 'did a gen' with us. The third survivor eventually joined in toward the end, but for the most part she sort of just did her own survivor thing, which is fine! At the end, Pig came to the exit with us and we said bye. Was just a fun match, and I just wish she had been on PS4 as well so I could've thanked her for it!

There's a game I like to play with survivors when I get the hatch first and find the last survivor running for a gate:
I'll stand at a respectful distance and watch. As soon as they pull the switch I'll walk a few steps closer. They'll jump off the switch and prepare to be chased; I'll just stand still and watch. As soon as they touch the switch again I'll walk a few more steps towards them. Rinse and repeat until I'm standing right behind them breathing down their neck, and they start panicking thinking I'm trying to get a grab. If they keep their nerve and open the gate they get to leave. If they keep panicking until the EGC ends, well... they failed the test.
I did this to a Dweet yesterday and it was the most ADORABLE thing I've ever seen. The sheer panic coming off him as he tried to open the gate while sandwiched between me and the switch was palpable. He spent the entire 2 minutes of EGC at the gate, but only opened it with about 10 seconds left.

Have a couple assorted instances of heartwarming moments. Both from PC and Switch.
-Any time a high rank player was kind to me as a low rank killer when I played on PC. One streamer who did quite well against me as Pig told me to 'keep at it, you'll get there' when I went to give props after the match.
-One survivor willingly stayed behind to die and let me get points after I had a rough match.
-Something I do when all the gens are done (and only when all the gens are done) is camp the guy I have on hook and make a little game out of it. A memorable instance of this was when I played Ghostyboi on PC, where a survivor duo, a Billiam and Tapp with flashlight with their powers combined get Quentin off the hook and all three escape. In postgame I say 'Let this match be living proof that you can beat facecamping', and give props to a job well done. They clearly appreciated the kudos.
-On Switch I was on Torment Creek with a presumably 3 man bulli squad facing off against Demogorgon. At one point they tried to get me in on the action and knowing what they were up to, refused and was more focused on doing the gens. I think the killer knew I wasn't with them so after closing the hatch after offing them, the Demogorgon player didn't even bother to check the gate I escaped from.
-Also on Switch, playing against Le Ghostyboi when I was suffering from some really bad lag. They let me have hatch when I was the last one alive.

As a way of thanking cross-platform wholesome Killers or Survivors, I give them thumbs-up in the Feedback/Report section after match.
I don't know if they actually receive the message I send there, but I assume it counts for something. It's the category that says something like "Amazing teammate, overall knowledgeable on the game or fun to play against". I also give them to players I just find really fun to play with, Survivors and Killers, regardless of farming.

Man, my story is pretty good, at least in my own opinion.
I was playing as Oni on Yamaoka, such a shocker there.
There was a blonde chick, I don't remember her name, whom I was chasing.
She runs up to a pallet, and who walks out right in front of it but Mr. David King, who proceeded to sandbag the poor blonde girl.
Me being me, I stood there for a solid 5 seconds as blondie slowly turned back to look at me. We looked into each others' eyes, and I stepped back.
Blondie fled, and I proceeded to make sure that David paid for his sins.
After the match, I went: "David knows what he did."
David and the rest of the SWF, however, were confused, so I explained the situation, and everyone laughed.

Yes, I always give thumbs up props to people I like playing with/against! I also don't know what it does, but if it's the only thing I can do, it makes me feel like I did something.
3 -
Yep, as long as you fill out all your other emblems, you only need 10 or 11 hooks to get merciless at Red rank. Also, the lower the rank, the less you'll need to do, for example, at brown ranks as long as you get a game to last around 7-10 minutes, get a couple of kills and several hooks, you'll get merciless.

I've had a lot of nice/funny/cute moments in the brief time I've been playing, but I just had one now to add to the list here.
Playing Pig and randomly put on her map, The Game. Running my current Pig build, Ruin/Undying/Discordance/BBQ, so I'm happy with the map for totem locations and just in general. Usually, I wait for Discordance to pop to give me my first clue where to go, but it's not going off. I drop into a crouch to stealth around ... and, nothing. No gens are being worked on, no signs of any survivors. I'm at a loss. Am I glitched on an empty map?
Finally, I hear a gen barely started. I move towards it and hear a flashlight click on the side of me. I see a Nea approaching me, crouching, ready to boop the snoot. Then there's the Nancy right aside of her. And Claudette. And Jane. All four crouching towards me ready to boop. 🤣
I am not always up for a farming match, but there were all so innocent and adorable, and I'm a sucker for booping the snoot. I let them all boop away, then took off. I led them to my totems (which would have actually been hard to find), got pallet stunned, got a hook of all of them for my BBQ stacks, and played generator disruptor. Finally, after the last gen was done, I followed the Jane to an exit to say goodbye, but no one else was coming. There was a noise notification from downstairs (a locker, I'm guessing), so I went to look into it, and I found the Claudette, who had found a skeleton key in a chest and another survivor at the hatch, waiting. The third survivor went looking for the Jane, I'm guessing, and soon all four of them were at the hatch. They popped it and got the four-person hatch escape, while the Jane let me smack them one last time on the way out. I talked with a couple of them afterwardn(they weren't all together, at least one was a solo), and as I told them, it was more fun than I'd had in a while in a match. ☺️

Had a match on a diffrent account, found a wholesome billy after rework who was just chainsawsprinting out of the map boundaries, from hill to a rock to out of the map on azarovs. So he managed to land on the fence and walk there, when chainsaw back in he appeared like through a portal and never at the place where he actually entered or should have connected the fence.
However I recorded a minute of it, cheered him on, he kept doin it and than i had to go away and pressed record again. So half an hour later i come back and see I didn't die and was quite surprised. He saw that I was afk, didn't leave and instead of hooking when all others left, he carried me to the exit gate and dropped me in such a way that I would fall out after he downed me again. Such a wholesome billy, we are now friends on steam.
So if you are reading this, i love you my russian comrade. ♥️
€dit: I also have to cut this video this weekend finally and make it a video or at least a .gif

All 3 of my teammates disconnected as we were loading in, and keep in mind this was a loonnnng time ago before the hatch changes. So it was just me and a huntress. And when i saw her and she saw me, i just pointed at her and at a corner. She stayed in the corner. Then i made her stay in the basement corner. Then i let her kill me :)

This gives me faith.
I was having an awful day. Just a ton of jerk survivors. I just let a team go. They were being cool. The last one was really nice and, since everyone left, I wanted to show him the hatch. I grabbed him, but I guess he thought I was being toxic because he disconnected. The conversation went as follows: (Not sure if this is an instant where I would have to block their name since I'm hoping they see it.)

Oh! Another time I was playing killer and I heard the noise of glass shattering downstairs and screaming. So, of course I leave the game to go see what happened. My brother had tripped over something and landed in some glass. I apologized to the team I had to leave. They all were perfectly fine with it, two even asked if my brother was okay.

This one time I happened across a match against Cahlaflour, when she was playing off stream with some friends. This was after 3-4 terrible matches as killer were the survivors completely stomped, bullied, and berated me. So I went into the match with a Mori. However chasing her and her friends. Playing the objectives. You could tell while playing they were being wholesome and it was really fun. I didn't even use my Mori. I tried not to kill them (accidently mis counted my second hook on one player). Then chased them out the door. It was a lot of fun, my steam name at the time was Friendly Freddy. The next day I tuned into her stream, and she mentioned me. Not trying to sound like a simp. If it wasn't for the players I follow on Twitch or other social media - I wouldn't be playing this game, so I appreciate them a lot for raising my spirits. Especially StreamDad, TrU3Ta1ent, Fungoose, Iosefka, and Cahlaflour.

wholesome.... I got this.
One of my now good gaming friends I met in DbD. He was playing a Suzzie and moried our entire team. After he hooked everyone but me. A mistake he made and realized when he tried to mori me and realized that I was the sneaky one he had yet to down all game... Rip. So he convinced our remaining team member to unhook before killing us both. This was a random so I had no way of telling her not to do it. My sister was laugh/screaming the entire time because we both knew what was going to happen. In the after chat my sister and I (because yes we play as a duo) were teasing him and more or less flirty joking around. We had a great conversation and I ended up inviting him to my discord server to play with us some time. He was awesome and really chill and we jokingly planed a kill your friends date with him. It was one of the best matches that I have had up to date and I hope I can meet other killers that are just as awesome.

Ohh!! One time I was playing as pink meg at Pale Rose and we had PH, so I went up on the dock and pointed at him just for fun and he shook his head 'no,' and then left me for the last survivor. I was doing a gen and tried to save them, but it was their last hook, so PH found me by a window, moon walked, and then nodded his head with me before closing hatch and leading me out the gate! <3
Another time, I met Piggy and when the last survivor died she found me and I just pointed at her hex totem. She crouched and started spamming her roar before leading me to the totems (undying) and then giving me hatch!! <3
Another time as the Blight, I gave everyone one or two hooks before leading them all to gens to get points! Bill just looked me straight on as the EGC timer ran out and sacrificed himself for me even though we were at the edge of the gates together!
And last but not least, the survivors I had when I was Ghostface and messing around with them for playing so well, they led me to the TV at the meat plant and just nodded their heads in front of it with me. Then they all crowded around me, pointed, led me to the hatch and one of them opened it with the key and then left. Best match ever.

I just had a really great game with strangers. I think they might have been a two man SWF.
I was AFK at the start - now in fairness to me I cancelled long before I hit the lobby (and this has happened a few times now - very weird) I walk by my PC and WT helk I'm in a game!
Welp geesh there I am on a hook and a teammate saves me.
I work as hard as I can to make up for whatever happened that got me in that game. (I'm still not great at the game - but I try.)
In the end I was about to be deaded and the killer left me crawling. (Instead of hooking me on what would have been my last hook and TBH I think they did that on purpose as another member had suicided early on.) So there I am - end game - all gens done - lying on the ground and my teammates are way across the field but come for me.
They waved me to crawl to them - I healed up as best as I could so not to put them in harms way - and they healed me fully and then waved me to follow. For some reason my instincts said trust them. So I followed them.
Turns out - they had keys and got us out out the hatch. They knew where it was. They could have left me. (Especially after what happened at the start of the game and TBH I wouldn't have blamed them if they did.)
They didn't though.
Best feel good game ever. They were wonderful (killer too).
It's games like this that remind me why I stay through a lot of bad ones.

I remember one time I had to throw up in the middle of the game and I had to make a run for it. I was in the middle of a chase as Myers. My game was going well, so while I was losing some years of my lifespan, the survivors didn't do any gens and waited for me to return to continue the game normally (don't judge that I didn't lie down right away, I just really wanted to continue playing. I may have regretted it right afterwards). I apologized in the end-game chat and they were quite understanding and assumed something happened, cause the game was going well for me and that they had fun nonetheless.
That was quite nice and one of my most wholesome moments. Otherwise, I have many wholesame chat moments where players would spend time talking to each other and give each other tips. There was a Myers once who didn't understand why killing someone reset his tier III. They had both Tombstone Piece and Judith's Tombstone (I have done this to myself... Many tiers were spent. Just like Tombstone Piece + Fragrant Tuft of Hair. My soul!). We spent some time talking about how to play Myers (that was like 2018).

Recently I was doing a challenge as the Hag.
3 gens left and all was untouched. There was still 2 or 3 survivor..somewhere. I was looking around every bushes and corner. The lockers was empty. Where are they? After a while I found them all behind this buggy rock, spinning and waiting for their end. I felt so sorry for them and we finished the gens and finally let them escape into freedom.
5 -
Almost every match against Myers feels wholesome to be, because so many people who play him seem to play the most kindly. I think a majority of games where the killer gives me the hatch willingly is a Myers. It's like they respect the hustle and don't play just to 4k.
There was a great moment a while back, when the infamous hill glitch was at its peak. Pretty straightforward game against a Myers when he hooked me next to the hill. A gen was behind the hill, and two teammates were working on it. One stops, starts walking towards me, then just freezes. I start to get super mad they aren't saving me until I realize they got stuck and couldn't move. Then, being a dummy, when I was saved I tried to walk over to them to see if I could push them out or something.
I got stuck too.
Myers found us both that way, stuck together in the stupid collision glitch. I expected death. To my surprise, he downed us both and then waited patiently for us to crawl out of the hill, for another teammate to get us both on our feet, and he even gave us a running start before resuming any chases!
Nice guys, those Myers mains.

Oof. I won't lie - they have been few and far between these days. Lower ranks are infested with SWF premades consisting of 1-2 red ranks and 1-2 low ranks (all with full purple perks somehow), and these groups are so damn BM.
That said, I've had a few fun moments where a survivor DCs and I play around with the remainder and let them get some gens done. Sometimes they are grateful.
Also - a moment where I snuck into a conga line of survivors headed for a gen as Pig. They didn't notice me for ages.
5 -
That reminded me, I was able to message and get help from a group to complete the Wraith challenge where you had to ring the bell next to each survivor in a match. I swear to goodness I'd been meeting the criteria, but something wasn't right because after six or seven matches it just wasn't going through or counting.
I was frustrated and annoyed because I was really trying to blast through them in my precious free time and it just wasn't happening. At first, nobody messaged me back, and the gens were popping like....popcorn as I frantically sent out the call for aid. They opened the gates, and I was thinking that was it, maybe next game, and trying to think positively though i felt defeated.Thankfully, they were super kind, and all came to find me after I moped my way down into the basement letting me bing and bong all over them. ^_^ I let them farm a bit, got my challenge done, and put the controller down for the night, ending on a high note.
Seriously though, no matter how loud the toxic folk can be, thank you survivors for being willing to help out a good two thirds of the time when a solo player is in a bad way. I really appreciate the willingness to spend your time and help. :)
2 -
I did 3 gens and the other 3 survivors dc'd after being downed first time. The killer let me pallet stun him three times and showed me where the hatch was. Could have got a 4 kill but was generous.
2 -
As survivor: I was playing against a Piggy with my brother and two random survivors. They left my brother on a hook and me slugged and he went from first stage straight to death because they just didn't save him. They did end up picking me back up later on, but the killer found me right after so I just waved "come here" and they downed me, took me over to a hatch, then dropped me there. Near the end of the game, they pick me up again. Piggy drops the other two and closes hatch since I'm not near it, but walks me over to gate and lets me boop the snoot.
As killer: I was a Huntress and doing not so great so all of the survivors would end up getting away. I downed one at the gate, but he was injured and I just know he was feeding me a kill to boost my ego but I just dropped him at exit and let him go. The other three lined up for me and let me practice taking shots. They even waited for me to reload.

Now that I think of it, I have a lot of wholesome moments in this game.
Just yesterday I went against a nurse who was struggling a bit but managed to get her 4k. At one point I went inside a locker to get an inner strength heal after unhooking a Bill. For a reason I'll never know, he fast vaults into the locker next to mine, actively letting the nurse know where he is. Mind you he didn't have inner strength or decisive. He naturally gets grabbed out of the locker. Me and the nurse had a good laugh about it then had a small chat before saying our goodbyes.
Another wholesome moment was when two teammates, most likely SWFing together, DCed at the exact same moment at 5 gens. We were versing a huntress and I was pretty much ready to move on to the next game. I hear the huntress coming toward me, so I stand near a window and signal her to come over to me and just do the deed. Instead she shakes her head at me, comes up to me and signals me to farm with her. I let her sacrifice me as a thanks in that game and we became good friends after that. Gokuzu if by any chance you're reading this, you're awesome man.
A similar situation happened with a Myers when two Davids DCed early in the game and he let me and the Dweet farm. We both let him sacrifice us to show our thanks.
I was playing with a friend once and we went against a struggling Billy. In post game chat he said he really wants to learn him, so me and my friend invited him to a custom match where he (and we) practiced for a while.
I can't remember the name of this person, but we got matched together twice, once when they were playing Laurie and the other time when playing sheriff Jake. They mention liking Felix (Felix main here) and in post game chat they complimented me for looping the killer. I'm hoping we get to play together someday.
Last but not least, back when I was still new to the game I wanted to try out huntress. I got matched with a group of red rank survivors who noticed I was brand new. In post game chat they complimented my throws and patience with the hatchets, and told me very firmly to not let matchmaking discourage me from getting better. I honestly wish we can get matched together again in the future.

Hey M8, dunno if it was you, but I was playing legion cause I had bought them and was having fun. I wear the darker Joey cosmetic.
However I did get stuck in a pallet and a survivor came over to free me via vaulting. After that I decided to just run around and stab people with my feral frenzy too still get points but otherwise decided to let everyone free cause if it had been another group of survivors they would've left me there. I'm on Xbox, and I was just looking through the forums and saw your story and it made me think back to that game I had. I dunno if that was you all. But if it was then thank you and good luck in your trials, M8.
Edit: I'm pretty sure I let everyone free, but i can't remember it to a T, part of me feels like I already killed someone before getting stuck though. I just remembered your part about you being the last one. So I don't think we had the same but funny enough similar trials. Either way good luck in your future trials.

What a complete sweetie.

Nice to see someone else who gives the killer that last hook in a farming situation. I've literally had stand offs with killers wanting me to escape while i stand firmly under a hook. Just feels wrong to me to escape when I've likely racked up enough points to keep me happy, and while on console it was a nice way of saying thanks without having to spend 5 minutes typing out a ps4 message.
3 -
You worded it perfectly. It just feels wrong not to give something back in that situation.

That one survivor was so polite despite me taking advantage of them when they got unsafely uncaged.
(The bar is on the damn floor.)

I've very salty about the people I've played against, so it's awesome to read this.
I, of course, have had some great experiences, as well. I remember playing against a GF who just wrecked the team, fair and square. Wasn't a string of dick moves, we got a couple of gens. It was just good game play. He beat us, and I was the final victim. He downed me, and I thought, "Cool, that was good game". He picked me up, and I was ready to get hooked, I put my controller down and prepared for my demise. He walked past a hook, and I thought "Dang, he's giving me a chance! Nice" so I picked up my controller and started wiggling. He dropped me right there, and started to shake side to side, and I thought "I don't get it". So he picked me up, and I started to wiggle. Same thing happened. I figured it out: No wiggling. He picked me up again, and we walked around for at least a minute until he found the hatch, dropped me right there, and danced a bit. I left. After the match I thanked him and said he was great. He sent a message back "Np, gg, had to reward good play".
While I've never had dance-offs, or slug races, or anything like that, I have had a few Killers and Survivors who can help make the game fun.
As the nurse on my first try, I SUCKED! No hooks, and maybe down or two. But it was not good. They got the gate open and waited. I was expecting the usual tbagging and mockery. All 4 were just chilling and waving me in. At this point I was thinking about the toxicity I had received before, and thought, "Hell with it. I'm going to turn around and not be bothered". They all came right up to me. So I swung, thinking they would scatter like cockroaches, like the toxic ones always do. Nope. They all swarmed me. So, I swung some more. They started healing each other, and I was thinking "Cool, BP farming!!" They healed full, I attacked, they healed, I attacked... etc. They left and I remember that as being the first time I was cool with a group.
It CAN happen. I wish more people were like this. It's a game, not a statement on life. Win graciously, lose with dignity, and help each other out.

First story is super old - from back before matches cancelled when a survivor didn't load in. So, only three of us loaded in, the other two DCed pretty quickly and I was just left to little ol' me and Trapper. I don't like DCing so I sighed, sucked it up, and dropped the first pallet I came to and starting hopping over it to get his attention. He came along and, rather than just murdering me and moving on, he just broke the pallet. We stared at each other for a couple seconds, then started farming. We ran around dropping/breaking pallets, working/breaking gens, until the hatch opened (this was back when you had to do a certain number of gens before it would open) and I can't remember how it ended - whether he killed me or refused to, but I remember offering, and either way it was super sweet and he/she was a very good egg.
Another trapper once (I swear they are the most chill) carried me around Lery's for probably 10 minutes when I was the last survivor trying to find the hatch for me. I eventually heard it and started to wiggle to let him know, and he immediately started the drop/pick up/drop until I was free and then followed me and watched me hop in.
Last, and most recent one though it was also a while ago: was in a match with a Huntress, and when it came down to the two of us and she found me, rather than just killing me, she picked me up and dropped me until I wiggled. Now, to this point, I knew she was either pretty new/or just not very skilled yet with Huntress as the hatchets had been a little rough, so I figured - hey! I too wish I could be a good Huntress, maybe I can help this one! So I started just, walking back and forth, walking at first, then running, then ducking, then in circles, etc. And she just practiced. Going to reload when she needed, picking me up when I was downed so I could wiggle and we could go again. This went on for a while, then she picked me up and started walking so I thought "okay, death commeth" and was ready to just let it happen, even as she carried me into the basement, but then she dropped me again and we practiced some more as I ran around the hooks. Eventually she did kill me, and honestly, maybe she wasn't seeing it as nicely as I was - maybe she was just like "yeah! I get to toy with a survivor for a while longer, squeal piggy!" But I had fun and I hope I helped.

This was during the 4th anniversery event. Tons of people were farming for points with the 4th anniversery cakes.
Was playing as a survivor with a wraith on ormond. He was bing bonging and just farming with us making sure we're doing things.
I go to get chest and get a 4th anniversery medkit.
Wraith is happy with my discovery
I drop it and point at him
"It's for you, Wraith, happy birthday"
*Happy Bongs*
I hope that man is out there with his medkit still.

I don't have an "in game moment" to share, but... I live in California, and I flew to the east coast a couple of years ago, traveled to 3 different states and met 4 of my best friends, that I met playing this game 💜 We range in ages, but we have developed a loving bond. It's something I'll always be appreciative for. Thank you DBD for helping form friendships in and out of this game.

It was before the recent patch and i was on disturbed ward and i was playing bunny feng.
at the start of the match, i was doing a totem and the killer who was a billy trapped me, and i just looked up at him and didnt bother wiggling because i needed to comprehend my stupidity. I kobed somehow and played the game until i was being chased again, but he wouldnt chase me at all and was overall really friendly.
after the game sadly i couldnt thank them since i play on switch and im still waiting for them to accept my friend request :)
