DS doesn't stop tunnel!!

I am new to Dead by Daylight since last month and already reach rank 7. I noticed that shortly after I was rescued from the hook, the killer will usually come back to ME! My friend said he tunneled you, so he said you need DS to help with tunneling. So I purchased the girl with this perk and leveled her to 40, then took forever to get DS on Steve and finally did it. Well this perk wasn't very helpful. I was captured in the window from Spirit, very laggy match but she hooked me. She ran away I saw her chasing another player very far so my friend saved me and few seconds go by...HISS HISS HISS! She is back to ME!! What happened? Why? Now she has chased me and not another player. My friend said don't worry you can use DS, so I was downed but she didn't touch me. My friend said oh she knows you have DS. So this is great news, I make so much trouble to buy this perk to help me to get tunneled and now it doesn't help because the Spirit can wait for timer finish. He said, next time go in locker if she will tunnel you. So again I was hooked and rescued by someone with Borrowed Time so that was very nice help but she will continue to chase me. I enter locker as he said and she waited in front of it but the timer was almost done so I jump out and during this moment she grabbed me and I use DS and ran away. And guess what? She can still find me to chase me, even my friend was in her way but she didn't want him only me. So I was killed and DS didn't do anything for helping me in tunnel. Only help? It was delay chase. So why people complain it is so strong and OP and want less time? The killer can still tunnel you even from DS usage.

So devs can you make a perk that tells killer stop chasing one person only? It wasn't fun and now I don't play too much because not every one will do this but it happen a lot that it's not fun. I like chase but I also want to rescue, totem, look for treasures, blow up the candle totems, and other stuff too. Not only chase, hook, DS, chase, hook, chase, dead!! Please fix tunneling.

    Things to fix your problem:

    • Tell your friend to heal you
    • Run Head On if you're going to go in lockers
    • Run Unbreakable (actually don't, it's what we call smolpp)
    • Run Dead Hard
    • Run to a loop once you get unhooked
    • Run far from your teammates after getting unhooked so they can do gens
    • Run Spine Chill. The killer is tunneling you because you're injured, and you're the only one injured because you got hooked first. Spine Chill helps you not die first.
    • Run Sprint Burst, a smart killer will give up the chase if you time it right.
    • Almost every killer has a counter. Learn them and use them.
    • Try to think a step ahead of the killer
    • Don't waste pallets
    • Don't be toxic.

    Tunneling is a STRATEGY which is why the devs made a perk/perks that HINDER the strategy but don't shut it down because shutting down an entire strategy isn't fair

    DS is not an anti tunnel perk, devs have confirmed it. People only associate DS as a anti tunnel perk because of it works. The truth is its just a tempoary shield. And the main counters against DS is to slug survivors or wait it out.


    Run unbreakable, then the killer cant slug you either and is forced to either eat the DS or let you pick yourself up

    You can't fix tunneling and camping. You can make it less powerful and less an option to win. and DS is one of those things.

    And sure when I play killer and someone DSes mich and I can't even remember that I chased him then he has to die. Especially when he's annoying af.

    Yet nurse exists and shuts down normal looping as a strategy thus proving killer mains exaggerate everything and lie and play like complete POSs

    Shutting down normal looping doesn't come without its drawbacks on killers

    Most lose movement speed

    others are forced to be dependent on their powers

    and almost always as a result it creates new counterplay

    you are wrong for thinking they always shut down normal looping without drawbacks

    Now whos the one with hyperboles, (hint because I know you will need it :D, its you)

    Every killer needs to be played against differently. Nurse is strong don't get me wrong but she isn't an uncounterable killer. She's significantly more counter able than spirit. As a killer your job is to kill survivors. People who want to win (even tho camping is inefficient) will use the strategies at their disposal. Same with survivor. And these strategies can be helped by perks. As a killer main it's my responsibility to play both sides to improve my gameplay so I play both sides and am red ranks on both. As survivor sure getting camped and tunneled sucks, but most of the time when I'm play with friends we always get at least 2 out those games. If you do your objective it either forces the killer to leave and pressure gens (if they want to win) or stay and camp the one survivor. If they camp chances are there's a reason they don't care about gens which is where I'd lookout for noed before the gens are all popped (I'd look into having some people in a group running camaraderie as is gives precious time to find that noed or get the last gen done. It's honestly a game changer) As killer I don't camp cause any killer that camps for no reason is playing inefficient. There are valid and efficient ways to camp/tunnel. But I'd only do it against a good team that's competent. Those teams force you to play a little scummy. If you don't believe me watch tourneys. Every killer tunnels when they get the chance because it's about winning and one less survivor means one less person on gens. But they do it efficienctly where as other killers do it just to be a dick. There are so many factors that you can't just label killers as trash or POS when you dont see the situation from their eyes. Playing as a redrank killer has made my survivor experience more enjoyable because of that understanding. And I wish others would learn both sides at a high level so there isn't this disparity but unfortunately I don't see that happening. In the OPs situation it seems the killer was just being a dick. And they are spirit so it fits the picture as from my experience a lot of spirit mains only play spirit and have massive egos. (Again from my experience doesn't mean all spirits)
