Altruism is the most risky thing in the game
Doing tome challenges at Rank 1 made me realize something: altruistic playstyles are the most risky and the least likely to help you as an individual escape.
In general, the easiest way to farm points and escape is slamming gens, totems and taking chases. Saving is only really optimal if you're the closest person or your team is in a scenario where you HAVE to save because everyone else is occupied. My general goal is getting one unhook per game, maybe two if the Killer makes it really easy and its convenient.
Going for a save wastes a ton of travel time if its not nearby. Plus, it usually cuts your time in chase because Killers tend to come back to hooks, which often forces you to take an early hit. God bless all the people getting WGLF stacks and being killed off by playing altruistic to help the team escape.

While it can be risky, I'd disagree it is not the easiest way to get points. A safe unhook is a whopping 1,500 points - plus a WGLF stack if you're running it! If you have time to heal them as well, another 500+ bloodpoints. That all takes way less time than completing a generator alone for 80 seconds to gain 1,250+ bloodpoints.
It's also not a waste of time if it's the difference between the person getting unhooked or not. A dead teammate is far worse than a generator needing to wait for completion.

Found the P3 Claudette who will only Urban Evasion across the map and avoid getting found at all costs.

I'm that rare P3 Blendette who goes out of the way to help the team. I'll go to the save even if I'm the farthest from the hook cause no-one else is doing it, I'm taking protection hits, I'm healing.
The amount of times I've died so others can escape is unreal lol
My general goal is to do gens and help the team when I can even if that means I get sacrificed.

Lies. No one can find those things

depends.
overaltruism can very quickly kill an entire team.
but a healthy amount of altruism is absolutely fine, imo a lot healthier than none at all.

Not really. Bad saves are risky. Bad survivors are risky.

This is why I run Kindred. No more wasting time crossing the map for a save I won't get, or letting teammates go to 2nd stage for free.
