I kinda feel like I wasted my money
This ones for the Devs. I see they seem to read the forums some.
I'm a new player, just got the game about a month ago. And I'm kinda upset. There are a lot of things that most people would consider a glitch, that you don't.
Things like Button overlap exploiting. Where a downed survivor crawls under a window or a hooked survivor to prevent pickup, yes the killer can still pick him up, but he has to hunt for the right spot, and if the survivor is "juking" under a window, the killer can end up burning many seconds vaulting. Something they are counting on.
Hooking shouldn't be able to be body blocked so easy. I've actually been pulled out of the start of a hook by a kneeling survivor (twice in a row actually, so it seemed to be intentional) That doesn't make much sense.
Gen tapping.... For the entities sake This is by far one of my biggest pet peeves. and don't you DARE mention a perk that bandaids a broken system. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GRIND to fix your bad programming. Even worse is when you literally sell me your bandaid in DLC.
And I still have to grind after I bought the baindaid, meaning more bad games till I can put on my bandaid.
There is more, SOOO much more. But that's stuff for actual debate. My experience with your game has been sub par. I've played survivors too. And they are boring. The fun part of the game is running around with the killer, juking, and pathing, ect. But if everyone does that, you lose. You gotta push a button every once in a while so this gen fixes itself somehow. You should encourage more interaction with the killer, not less.
Anyways, that's it. i just had a very bad game where a group of survivors pulled out every little exploit they could, and it eventually pissed me off to the point where I just Dced. It's just not fun to have the bugs in a system thrown in your face for 10 minutes.
The thing though, that really disparages me, and makes me fell like I wasted my money is this:
These aren't new problems. This is an old game, and a simple search through reddit and the forums shows these problems have been around forever, and may even be intentional.

1. Look away from the window while picking survivor up.
2. Just smack them, don't try to take a longer route because they can move faster than you. Also if they are at the hook smack them immediately, don't hesitate. If the survivor jumps off the chase is counter-acted by the survivors now having to heal because they be all been smacked.
3. Gen tapping makes the Gen take longer.
4. The grind is (arguably) a good thing. It gives the game such a good replay value.4 -

You should encourage more interaction with the killer, not less.Say what? I'll support your technical issues. But this is weird... The killers sole job is to kill the survivors.... what more interacting do you want? Because if the game is supposed to encourage survivor killer interactions, then you got that - its called flashlights and decisive strike - things that killers constantly complain about.

By that I mean, give them more reasons to do more then kneel by a generator. Like getting parts for said generator or something. Encourage chances to be hunted, because thats when the game is most fun. I' have more fun hunting down my next gen, then I do repairing it, as a survivor. And I have the most fun when i'm actively avoiding the killer.

See, I actually don't have much fun being chased, I like figuring out a good way to complete the 'important' gens or the ones in the middle / one of the 3 that are together. I like distracting the Killer, then hiding. I like juking them. I don't enjoy (nor am I good at) looping the killer.

1, face away from the window. It also is teaching you a valuable lesson: pay attention to where you face/are positioned when you pick up a survivor. If you can't be flashlighted if your facing a wall.2, I agree that it's an issue that survivors can block the hook, but yeah, just hit them. Also consider dropping them to chase down the others. No one can get up if everyone's down.3, gen tapping is a meh counter strategy TO the "bandaid" perk ruin. Gen tapping is a weak work around to the ruin perk, a strategy that can easily and literally blow up in tyeir faces. Gen tapping is slower than just working on it.4, the point of the game is to avoid the killer. Like tag back in schooldays, running is fun but risky, but hiding and never being seen is the better strategy1

You're probably being put up against survivors higher than your own skill level.
The one thing that others haven't pointed out is that these strategies are not known to newbies, 1 month into the game. To be a killer at their level, you need to counter what they do, the same way they try to do versus you.
