Anyone else still have a bad taste in their mouth from the hillbilly rework?
Still can't get used to how useless the majority of his addons are. Plus I'm still miffed with how the devs outright lied to us with how they thought "hillbilly is in a good place" then proceeded to neuter his addons and add a useless overheat mechanic.

Yeah, the whole thing was just really weird and uncalled for. I expected some nerfs definitely, like making the charge speed addons also decrease the billy's chainsaw movement speed, but I expected for his basekit to be relatively the same, maybe with some QOL changes. Instead, we got an uncalled for nerf to his basekit, an obnoxious scream every time he starts a dash, and a complete addon rework. Way too much effort put into a nerf that didn't need to happen. I really wish the devs would just bite the bullet and revert the scream and overheat mechanic, the two things almost everyone can agree is uncalled for.

While I agree the basekit nerf was completely unnecessary, I actually like some of the addons they made. The LoPro Chains feel so nice to use and the Apex Muffler with Tinkerer is really fun.

I don't play Billy. I was never good w the chainsaw vs red ranks. I can chainsaw noobs all day. The movement is atrocious.
But Billy was in a good place w nobody complaining.
But the good idea fairy came to the devs and they broke something that didn't need fixing.
Just another way of nerfing killers. When killers need to be OP.
Again, I don't play Billy so, I'm assuming he is nerfed based on ppl's reactions.

I did say the majority, so that means that there are at least some good addons. But overall the overheat accomplished nothing.

Me and several others on here have a VERY bad taste in their mouth after the garbage that's happened to Billy over the last year. First it was the camera and animations that were changed with no warning at all. We all thought it was a bug and would get fixed.
It wasn't a bug and literally none of the devs have commented on this. Ever.
He makes a stupid roar that annoyed me to the core after the first 2 days. I don't want to hear him shout louder than literally everything in the game when I start chainsawing who the ######### thought this was a good idea? It's also not just a cosmetic change, it literally hurts him in a chase because you react to sound faster than a visual cue, so curving was slightly shadow nerfed because of this.
The overheat mechanic with the nerfed cooldown rate absolutely changes the way you play Billy too, and if you say it doesn't then you didn't play Billy much in the first place. I would've agreed with you in the first live patch. The cooldown rate of 5 ticks/s felt perfectly fine. It prevented people from spamming the chainsaw and facecamping with it revved, which is what they wanted to do. But then for no reason after everyone was happy with the change they ######### nerf it again a week later because the almighty stats told them people weren't overheating enough? Are we for real BHVR? Can't we just play a killer the way we want without your tedious limiting mechanics getting in our way?

I love how the devs state "don't draw conclusions from the stats," then they immediately draw conclusions from the stats and use then to nerf a killer or perk.

I just want overheat removed or buffed so it dosent affect him to much when you run the double engraving addons

My thoughts exactly

>Billy hot butchered during his changes? Well im a legion main so i know the feeling, also nurse mains may want to give you a shoulder lol
>bad addons? Well im also a pig main, so welcome to my world, demogorgons can also tell you about their addons, nurse too and Ghost face
"Billy was in a good spot" i hate to see this as an argument.... when did the devs say it? Which maps/perks where available at the time, and now? How did the billy play?
If i agree that Killers should be overall stronger, or able to apply more pressure with more ease, i, in fact always hated Billy.
Why? Because always the same gameplay, they get close to you and rev the chainsaw for an easy down, i would only respect good billys that made for a very long run to down.
Many billy players also hooked a survivor on one hook, would down the rescuer or another close by survivor, and do infinite very quick patrols between the 2 hooks, meaning that if you didnt moved as a team, r couldnt Dodge him, youre done for.
Also i see many billy complains about the add ons cause now they cant do stuff like taking very tight turns around a corner, as it was one of the fiew weaknesses of billy that was almost stopped using the add-ons, and if i recall rightly, there also was the billy with the very quick to charge chainsaw.
Oh and if his roar is annoying, it was mostly given to him to allow survivors to tell when he just revs, and when he would go for a hit. Im still unsure if it is actually good or bad
Thats my honest thought as someone that didnt liked billy at the first place

Yes, at least revert the weird movement changes. That would be great.

Then you can't look at this objectively.

ooh! ooh! me!
that roar made me drop Billy faster than a hot iron. Last time I played him (because of the rift...) I ended up just playing without headphones on and basically just fooling around with the survivors in the hopes that they'd let me get the chainsaws so I could go back to playing something I enjoyed.
I mean, it's not only that, but the animations, the camera position so incredibly far forward, the camera lock after finishing a chainsaw, the effectiveness of the overheat mechanic to minimize fun in playstyles that were not efficient while not doing anything to address the issues the devs said it was implemented to address, and everything else that makes him an unenjoyable experience.
I was a big fan of the double chainsaw quiet add-ons until the devs broke them in the half a year before his rework. Now, I'm being told I have one, predesigned option for a quiet chainsaw build and get no say in the degree of which I want his chainsaw quieted? The whole limitation of emergent gameplay the add-ons have is disheartening.
