Y'all know what would be a great christmas event?
A christmas tree and a fireplace with 4 stockings would spawn either in the main building or killer shock.
Killer hooks survivors ( could be special ones or just any hook ) then they can deliver coal to the stockings. Each piece of coal gives a 25% bloodpoint gain to everyone.
4 Presents would spawn around the maps ( only a couple locations to keep the rng to a minimum ) and survivors would have to deliver those to the tree. For every present delivered an addon of green or better rarity is awarded to everyone post match ( or could be an item in the survivors case)
For every event objective completed by both sides, everyone in the match would recieve event tokens, up to a maximum of 8 per match. Those could get ya any event outfits released for the event.

Plus with the way the event works it incentivizes everyone to participate for the max reward.

that's a really cool idea. it means everyone would want to play the game, and also get in the christmas spirit and play nice; so that everyone can do their side-objective
maybe instead of a green or better add-on, it could be something like bloody party streamers or maybe a christmas event item or a christmas event universal killer add-on? something a bit more in-fitting with the event then just any add-on.

I love the idea. It sounds like a big gift exchange (in form of bloodpoints) between players and really wholesome.

Sounds like a creative and fun event.So it's highly unlikely to ever come to DbD

I'd say that would be the only offering that could be gifted through the presents. Anything else would dilute the reward pool too much. Also survivors could recieve items through the gifts.
Plus I think that no event offerings should be required for this. Just so everyone can participate and bring any offering they want.

Yeah, it would be so awesome if the devs made this an actual event. It would make the holiday season feel special in dbd.

To me just making the event objectives gens and hooks is too basic to call an event. Those are more like themed decorations than anything.
When an event actually takes effort to make it shows that the devs care enough to make it fun and interesting. But most of all, different. But not too different as to take away from the gameplay.

If you wanna make it a truly BHVR event you'd get rid of about half of those ideas, throw the event cosmetics in the new rift before apologising the next day and spoonfeeding everyone 10,000 iri shards over the course of a week and hope they shut up.

This is a pretty great idea, but one thing, the awarding add-ons thing sounds good in theory, but a lot of killers have useless add-ons, and for the survivors, broken key and every map(only slightly joking). Im trying to figure what else they could award besides bp but I can't

Yeah sadly a decent amount of killers suffer from having useless addons. but if you make it so it's addons purple and up it would be too good, and plus having the greens there adds a little dilution so you don't get the same stuff over and over.

Had the spooky bells, the snow that didn't look like shiny marshmallows, and the lobby ambience that was just right.
Plus I started playing then, so I have a heavy dose of nostalgia when I hear that theme.

I do too; I started playing that December or November, and that was a time in the game where I actually had little to no frustration because of dedicated server lag or players that were rude; I actually just enjoyed myself and took all the unbalanced things with the mindset that it didn't need to be balanced--just fun.
