If I have yet to be hooked and am the last survivor, I should have a chance to escape the hook
Just had a match where I evaded the killer the entire match and then was abandoned by my teammates as the exit gates opened and I was knocked into the dying state. I was then placed on the hook and died immediately. I feel that if it's your first hook, you should have the chance to get off. I know thew implemented changes so you die right away so someone can't per-long a match, but give me a chance to save myself. I also had slippery meat, which, of indicates I would like the extra help to escape the hook and I should have the option if I have the perk.

Ok... thing is though, if you're last person the Killer has no other target. They'll just camp you until you burn through your unhook attempts. If you get off you'll just instantly go down and stay slugged until your DS runs out and get rehooked. If you get up with Unbreakable you'll just get slugged back down.
That's why the game just kills you. If it didn't it would just artificially lengthen the game in a situation where you basically have no chance.

I hear you. But, if I am hooked near the exit and have DS, it is possible for me to get out.

While I agree with you, a large part of the allure of this game is being able to try your hand at winning an unwinnable scenario.
but also this. And it doesn't make sense for me to exclusively not support attempts at escape for survivors using DS given the way DS currently works, so I guess I'm going to stay against the idea for the time being.
