A problem that is getting bigger
Unlocking right now 60+ perks x3 for every killer is starting to be quite the endless grind. Considering you "always" get the perks you want in the end, it makes it even longer. I have several killers I can never play at rank 1, or maybe I can in like 6 mounths when I have unlocked the perks.
Any plans on changing the system alittle with all the new killers being added?

Soon they will prob put a way for you to pay for perk on a character

Would be horrible. More like a way to target certain perks would be great. Like a questing system kinda like the rift maybe.

I kind of like that idea. Maybe it could be a benefit for prestiged characters? It doesn't have to be only for prestiged characters, but what if prestige 1/2/3 characters could directly get any tier 1/2/3 perk by using bloodpoints or iridescent shards? It's a rough idea.

When i said paid i mean real money the game got so many microtransaction that i wont be surprise you will need to pay real money to skip the grind for the perk you want

This game is really tough for new players to get in to and these perk grinds certainly are doing no favors.

The devs have said that they aren't going p2w. That's why you can't buy shards or Bloodpoints yet, that'd make them so much money yet they don't do it. They've said they're not doing it and honestly I believe em. So far all in-game purchases except for DLC, and even some DLC, have been cosmetics only. They provide no benefit to gameplay.

The games already pay to win. Pay to win is any scenario where you pay money to power creep faster. You can pay money to get DLC to get access to perks faster than waiting for them to appear in the Shrine. That's pay to win. We really should be calling it for how it is.

The better you perform as killer/survivor in a game the more bp you get. I average 1million bp in 4-6 hrs of straight grinding killer. The skill gap in this game is so massive.. what’s the point of obtaining all the perks through a shortened system on every killer when your just going to get destroyed by good survivors because you have little experience..

I am a rank 1 killer and I can never stay away from being rank 1, so I wouldnt say I am inexperienced. 4-6 hours for 1 mil is alot of time still.

There should be a system that uses shards to "disable" teachables you don't want to appear in other bloodwebs. Some characters I really like, but don't want their teachable perks to bloat my already bloated bloodwebs in the future.

People should have to grind for up to 6 hours just to earn BP though. That's the point of people complaining that the entire game is a grind. I like to play other games, not dedicate my life to trying to get BP

Not a big enough problem to put it the title it seems.

It would be nice if teachables would automatically be given to every other survivor if you unlock them on one. Like if I unlock dead hard on david, every other survivor I have should just have dead hard level 1 available. Still a pretty big grind, but not nearly impossible like it is now.

I restarted on PC at the Silent Hill midchapter patch and its been miserable. Absolutely awful. I got used to having all my killers at P3 with all perks on console, so when there was a new chapter it was just dump a million BP and be done with it.
THey need to remove perk tiers. I've had friends start recently who have just given up on some perks when they found out about teachables.

I think he meant in game currency

Just make it so instead of random perks in the bloodweb, you can unlock a node that lets you pick one rank in any of the perks you have available. That way people don't spend hours and their rank using undesired perks praying for bloodweb rng.

Yeah the grind is becoming huge. I like to have all perks on all killers to be able to experiment builds, and since the Blight came out I finished just recently to get his perks on all killers. Now it's already coming another one so I'll have to start over again.
It almost feels like getting perks is the end-goal, but imo it should be an intermediate passage.

You probably can play those killers though at any rank you want, with whatever perks you want. I'm a survivor main and I never expect to get 4Ks when I play killer. I don't have the experience, perks, or add ons to have much of a chance. I can still play them and have fun though.

It's more like pay to grind
Grinding for:
Perks
Items
Addons
Offerings
Survivors
Killers
Shards
BP (to get to the cap over and over again)

Dont believe that i know its not the sane but they said a year ago they were done with streamer code and look what they did for the halloween event they game code to the streamer when they said it was over dont believe anything the dev say

They also said 4 years ago that they'd never return Legacy and thusfar they've stuck to that promise for 4 years, for better or for worse.

I've been thinking recently, especially with the perk organization update a little while back, they should just make each character's teachable's maxed out on their respective characters from the start. 3 maxed out skills won't break the game on an early survivor. It'd be great if Killers could get something like that too, instead of having to deal with rank 1 perks.
I think it would cut down on initial grind for specific characters. No one really plays a character because they own a perk, anyways. Most play what their favorite is even if they don't have the right perks for them yet.

Would absolutly solve the issue alittle, but would still be a huge grind

Even just having every perk on its own character start at tier 3 and making the first few purchases from the shrine free would make the experience a bit more bearable for new players.

having 3 tiers of perks is just god awful, and it also severely limits creativity when it comes to perk design, since they have to be created in a way that they're incrementally stronger over 3 tiers.

The bloodweb is such a horrible system. It would be so much more healthy for the game if they literally halved the cost of everything or doubled the bloodpoints we get. The x2 bloodpoint events just take the edge off of the grind of a game that is supposed to be casual. Even if prestige would lower the bloodpoint cost it would make me want to actually do it or if all perks by default became tier 2 on 1st prestige and tier 3 of final etc.
Stupid concept to have a system where you buy a new killer to not be able to learn/play them under fair or fun conditions.

I think it'd be a good start though.
I think the concept of the grind really hurts people in the long run; a lot tend to experience burnout after getting all the teachables or buying a ton of characters.
But there also needs to be something there.
