Why don't we get notified when someone "gives props"?
idk i just think with all the normal toxicity in post game itd be nice to promote the positivity so maybe have it say "someone gave you props keep up the good work!". Might not sound like a lot but i give props whenever i face a killer that i had a lot of fun facing or was really skillfull. Or on the killer side a survivor team that honestly gave me a legit good run for my money. Sometimes a little bit of positivity can make someones day better. See you all in the fog! (PS Games like overwatch and paladins notify you when your commended by the enemy team and i personally love it)

Gain 1 bp everytime someone gives you props

Would be great.
Then we would have at least some way to compliment others even without endgame chat.

Does giving props actually do anything? I do it from time to time but I have no idea if it matters.

Nope,pretty much useless.

Maybe a non-match screen that tells you if people are complaining or complimenting you.

I've maybe used that once or twice when I started 2 years ago, but there's nothing to show it really does anything so I don't bother. If they're on PS4 with me, I'll just send them a GG.

I used to give people the thumbs up and say things about good Players all the time, and then I realized (sadly) that it is a like a suggestion box that feeds directly into a shredder. :) I don't bother with it anymore. I agree that there is no point in having it unless it does something, or at least tells the Player "so and so" had this to say!

I still.do it because I like to give the props, and I would really love to see a notification pop up or even a screen in the settings menu that shows a list of props given. @MandyTalk / @Almo , any technical reasons as to why this would be difficult to implement? I do a bit in unreal and if this data is collected somewhere it shouldn't be to hard to filter and script in a button somewhere.

It would be pretty neat if they did something like League of Legend's honor system with the give props button. Give you a little pop up when people give props to you and after certain milestones you get a little goody bag.

I wish that was a thing, I've played against amazing survivors and want to give them something like a bp boost or something.

It doesn't do anything because it was a poorly thought out feature of the game. Just like being able to rate a match. For a very short time however they did show the players that received the most props on the dev streams.

I think dbd players are too egotistic to give props 😂

Eh there are those some but most ive played with and against are pretty good people.

Seriously. Why doesn't it already work like that?

None of the options in post-game do anything; they, as someone above said, are fed straight into a shredder. Reports and props alike.

They could just have a little notification pop up saying "<someone> gave you props!" before disappearing after a few seconds.
It wouldn't be difficult or time consuming to add, and it would make the game a little more positive.

Yeah i think paladins and overwatch do that you cant really tell if its the opponents though since you can also endorse your teammates but in dbd itd be more obvious. Also if you give props to your teammates your telling them "hey your a good teammate and a amazing person to work with" basically.

good idea, would be good if survivors and killers had the ability to increase each others bp total by a % per up vote. This would discourage toxic play on both sides.
