This gives them a slight chance to get away. If survivors are constantly hook-rushing in your games, get better with the timing of the i-frames and punish them until they learn from it.
If you don't like tunneling, just slug. That still gives you extra time for their mistake without punishing the wrong guy.2 -

Even if they do stupid decision, they still are not supposde to be punished for it.2 -

I follow a survivor rushing to the hook = face camping
