What exactly are you supposed to do as Nurse?

I mean, if you don't blink they will just run away and you'll never catch them, but if you blink you immediately fatigue yourself for a while and it blinds you basically so when you look back up you have no idea where they are anymore.
Unless you guess right and happen to blink into them/where they are going, you just miss and then they have the same distance they did before.
There is skill with the blink itself, but I am asking about the rest of the play beyond that.

You use your first blink to get closer to them or close enough to hit then and then the second blink to adjust or blink to them. You don't really need to guess where they will go, as usually survivors will be easy to follow if they aren't behind a wall, as they can adjust fast enough to a 333% movement ability.

to understand the blink you really gotta practice.
inwas pretty hesitant to try out nurse at all, not a good killer player here and only on controller. But when I started and had some matches in I got relatively confident.
the brown Addon that shows where your blink will go really helps for practice, especially to determine when there are two stories. But don’t get too dependent
