skill check bug

when i got to perform actions like repairing, healing, and other actions with skill checks there is an issue where after completing a skill check, even if successful, it stops me from what i was doing as if i let go of the action button when i didnt. this happens everytime i get a skill check unless im using an item like the medkit or toolbox. this is very frustrating as i lost a game against the pig cause it kept kicking me off from getting the reverse bear trap taken off

I've just had the exact same problem occur when trying to get a bear trap off and I died.
