Rank reset each month
Personally I think that rank should reset to level 20 each month. I know, I know. Unpopular opinion, especially for SWF.
I play as a killer a lot, hence my current rank - 12. However playing against survivors who are ranked 10 and up is not fun for me at all. I don't think I have enough skills to play against higher ranks yet game only resets me to level 17. I think it would be more fun (at least for me) if each month everyone started from the same level and then progressed if skills allowed it. At the end of the day, if you're a good player (both survivor and killer) you will get your high rank if you're playing well.
Sometimes it makes me not play for long just so I can get my rank reset. Just so I can enjoy the game more. It shouldn't be like that.
EDIT: I have been thinking about what everyone said below and I agree rank 20 for everyone is too harsh. But it should at least reset ranks 1-10 together to certain point and then ranks 11-20 to certain point as well. You mentioned that higher ranks shouldn't be playing against legit rank 20. Fair enough but nowadays it's rank 12-16 playing against ranks 3-10 with examples of playing against lobby of survivors ranked 1-3 so what's the difference there? None, it's still unfair.

If youre a rank 12 killer, I dont think youre going to have a good time being reset to rank 20, and be matched up with red rank survivors, who you also want to be reset to 20. Sounds like purgatory for low skilled players

tbh unless its a SWF a rank 10 isnt much better than a rank 12 and if ranks went down to 20 thing would be even worse. Some sweaty iri head huntress with a mori would just have a great time moring ranks 20s and since they get entity displeased they dont even rank up and can stay there forever ruining the fun of rank 20s.

Does it matter really if you get 1 person from each colour rank in a lobby anyway?

Valid point, however if someone is low skilled player, going up rank won't really help them either if they progress and play against higher ranks anyway.

I don't know if it's SWF I play against all the time but being rank 16-13 I get paired with 10 + survivors, more often that not that means rank 5 and higher.
I didn't know mori doesn't count as a sacrifice (rank progress of however you want to call it), that is a valid point. Never thought of that.

Youre a rank 12 killer that wants to face rank 20 survivors. My advice would be just to play kyf, or derank yourself to whatever rank you want to play against. I would feel so bad trashing rank 20 killers at the beginning of every month, and vice versa, Id feel bad massacring rank 20 survivors

yes new legit rank 20 survs against a former rank 1 now rank 20 killer. seems fair
or to view it from the other side
4 man swf former rank 1 now rank 20 against a new legit rank 20.
there is a reason for the ranking system even if it´s not the best it has a purpose.

Honestly I think we could do away with it. Most of the time the Killer/Survivors end up back where they started were they started by the end of the day.

Rank Reset should be reverted. So if you are Rank 1, you are Rank 10/11 (or whatever it was) and the rest is calculated from there. Basically old Rank Reset.
But 20 is too much IMO, Rank 17-20 should be a safe space anyway for new players.

The problem with that, is that you'd be putting brand new players against players who are a much higher skill.
I used to like the old rank reset myself, I don't really see the point where I just go back to Rank 5 now

what was the old rank reset? I'm fairly new to the game so I didn't get to experience the old way
