When a new killer releases on LIVE version, everyone should get to play it for free the first day
I am thinking especially since console players can't play PTB, so why can't they get to play the new killer for free the first day it releases? (for upcoming killers)

Thats not a horrible idea..

Ya but then if you don't like the killer, you might not purchase. This way, they get you to use money or resources to simply find out if you like the killer! And if you don't, oops oh well no refunds!

No game let's you try out paid DLC for free. Not sure why DBD should be held to a different standard.

No high quality game like this who has this high of a playerbase releases a DLC with huge problems and bugs like this.

We used to have ultra rare Splinter offerings that allowed players to play DLC characters they hadn't bought just to try them out. Unfortunately that was phased out quite a while back despite how useful they could be for players who weren't sure whether or not they wanted to commit to buying or spending shards on a DLC character.

Agreed. But that's a separate issue

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen dlc work that way. Some games with mtx allow you to test stuff for a limited time before buying (planetside 2 and some mobile games come to mind).
I'd be all for it, because it really could help you decide whether its worth buying or not, but that's also the reason it'll 100% never happen here.

Most games don't let you refund DLC.

would give the devs more info on them and if the killer is actually fun or good it will affect how many people buy them.
Of course that's assuming the killer is fun and/or good im sure if they started off with the twins they wouldn't get as many sales as they would have liked because you know... the new killer still sucks and is bugged as hell.

Fair, but I would say that the solution is to fix the bugs, not to let people try out DLC for free in order to apologize for the bugs.
