Deathslinger needs reworked

He can choose between an m1 and firing his weapon, so he can game you that way, but he can fire and hit you, and freely break the chain before you do, enabling him to immediately step forward and m1 without any kind of stun. He shouldn't have the ability to break the chain himself like that. I get his chain to 99% and he breaks it to avoid the stun, before moving in for an instant m1 at the crutch point in the match. These lose/lose situations are annoying as hell. He already has zero charge time to fire his weapon, since he can quickdraw fire, and the thread-through-needle hitbox makes it impossible to avoid him by ducking behind something, because the hitboxes are actually taller than the objects players can duck behind.

    There is no counterplay to his ADS. Scott Jund has video explaining issue with that. There is nothing you can do to game him. Huntress has to wind up a shot and slinger doesn't its just insta-aim and shoot. If he has good aim there is nothing you can do.

    Huntress also has a similar issue, where a close range hatchet hit elicits no cooldown and she can potentially barrel down on survivors, however if a cooldown was added then it would be punishing to learning killers or when playing against survivors who know how to counter them.

    This probably won't be changed, but provided that these killers are 2 out of 22 you don't have to worry about it that much.

    deathslinger should just be removed lol. like don’t even rework him, just remove the stupid unbalanced thing.

    Y'know killer still have to land a shot. And he is still 110% and slow asf. Don't 3 gen yourself and you will be fine.

    In the time it takes for slinger to make one hit a huntress could have potentially landed 3 hatchets.

    Don't nerf underpowered killers just because you don't know how to play against them.

    3 skillful hatchets as opposed to one braindead deathsligner m1 or shot.

    The onyl way to rework him would be to give him the legion treatment (IE make him unable to down with his gun) or completely redesign his gun.

    Dude just hold W. He’s so slow. He can’t shoot you from far like huntress can. He has to reload after every shot. The shots he does hit off arnt even guaranteed like huntress because you can break out of it. He is litterly a worse huntress yet you complain about him and not huntress. What about Victor? Victor alone is a way better deathslinger? Yet here you are complaining about deathslinger.


    This just shows you’re not very good and instead of getting better you choose to complain until they make things easier for you.

    This is all they need to do to Deathslinger:

    - Must wait 0.5 seconds to shoot after ADSing.

    - Experience a 1 second delay between lowering the Redeemer and performing a Basic Attack.

    That would make him one of the weakest killers in the game.

    When you aim you're incredibly slow and survivors will make a lot of distance. Plus to this slow movement speed, any survivor with more than 10 iq points will juke the shot, it's surprisingly easy to do so.

    Removing his quickscope mechanic will make him a ######### version of huntress.

    As a deathslinger main, I can tell you the things that hurt me the most while playing him:

    • Breaking LoS.
    • Taking distance while reloading.
    • Purposedly breaking the chain while being far (getting stuck in an object).

    Also, when he m1's you use the speedbost to break LoS, otherwise it's pretty easy to land a 2nd hit with the gun.

    Being able to have a 'mindgame' by just walking towards a survivor is broken. It's like Spirit being able to stand still and fake survivors out.

    Broken LOS is something that doesn't always hurt Deathslinger, especially since you can do prediction shots and a survivor will eventually have to move into the open. So that argument is pretty much void.

    Base reload speed is pretty quick, so not much distance is gained often. Only in certain situations, those being a shot in the open and you missed somehow.

    Good luck with breaking LOS on the new reworked maps lol!

    The quickscope aspect is busted as it is. Maybe my numbers are too punishing, but they are required. Maybe 0.25 ads shooting and 0.75 delay after lowering the Redeemer
