I call it the corner of shame. If I get a SWF or just amazingly coordinated team, I go into my lil corner and let them leave. I am in my dunce hat, of course, and am small... fragile

Matches are so short... You can just get hooked twice if you really want to forfeit.

Ah yes, let me just quickly pop my killer body on the hook and sacrifice myself.

when i do anything like this they refuse to leave until they've properly taunted me

that screws over your teammates... at the very least there needs a way to vote to forfeit so it doesn't count as throwing the game

They can only butt dance for so long before Mr. Krabs comes and snaps their necks

I’m sorry if I come off as rude but why would getting outplayed make you want to give up? Just learn from your mistakes and get better with mind games and other things you can do. It takes practice to become decent at this game so if you want a chance you have to put in the work. I understand there are the occasional bully squads. The answer to them is to not get tilted and when they mess up is capitalize off their mistakes. I have gone against very few god squads and when I do I try my best to win.

TBH enough players will already do it. Getting a surrender option won't be a change for the better.
League of Legends has a surrender option and it all it brings is toxicity and arguing to the game. I really would not want the same to happen to DbD. We have players who ragequit if they are the first down, we have game queues that are longer than some matches, and players should be playing for fun anyway. There is no need for a forfeit button in an asymmetrical game like DbD.

yes they need that

It's a difficult situation really. I would like if they replaced the function of the "Leave Match" button to something of a forfeit.
You should still receive a safety pip or de-pip if you didn't meet the emblem requirements...but I also wish we had bots to replace quitters because then, no-one's really getting screwed over when someone decides to give up due to whatever reason.
I think BHVR could really work on some kind of system to help players in these situations instead of slapping a penalty on someone who might've just gotten overwhelmed in a frustrating match.
I know a lot of people might abuse it, and that's inevitable but it's just an idea...it breaks my heart that so many people feel they need to give up when a match becomes unbearable and that goes for both survs and killers. It's a game, yes, but we're all real people with real emotions too and a lot of players forget that.

To be honest, it simply isnt fun to play against people you have no hope to catch
if im getting looped by every single survivor for minutes at a time then theres no point in me even playing the game. expecially with how matchmaking is right now and always has been.

it cant work as survivor, but it can work as killer

I had a match earlier today that had me looking for the forfeit button in the first 30 seconds.
- I was playing the Trapper
- Two survivors in the lobby switch at the last second to bring in two keys (strike one)
- The map was Mother's Dwelling (strike two)
- I set a trap immediately and walk to the other corner
- Less than 10s later, my trap was disarmed
- I look back at it and see an Object of Obsession with a map (strike three)
- I went AFK in front of the exit switch
One of them was a Twitch streamer.

As survivor it would have to be a team vote. If 3 of 4 survivors vote to forefeit the game ends and everyone keeps their bloodpoints. The teammate who dosent vote to leave hets a 1k bloodpoint bonus.

there should consequence for not finishing the match so survivor who surrender should get either lose some bloodpoints or depip automatically

I think insta depip is harsh. Maybe instead reward every survivor who plays the game all the way through 1k bp so the ones who forefiet dont get it.
