Nerfing moris is the worst thing bhvr could've ever done.

If a killer is going to use a mori it's far more likely it's because a key was played. For obvious reasons. But to spell it out it's because keys can greatly shorten the time of a game on survivors side. Now there's no counterpart to that.

Based on your extreme overraction to a simple balancing change they have said they were working on for at least 3 months, you taking a break is probably for the best for your own health, and to be honest, for everyone you might be put in a lobby with too.

Guys, grow up. I know this is a killer forum, but buff after buff for killers they do any nerf for them and you only see rivers of tears.
1 -
How about map offerings, how do we balance them? Cause i sure know that there are 4 survs and each can have a map offering while going against one offering of the killer. In addition how many moris can one have at a specific moment?
Now i dont like moris cause you cant really pip with them to get to higher ranks, but one thing for sure is that right now all i will do is wait for key change because God forbid you get swf with OoO and key who know what they are doing(which they always are on red ranks)

Main both sides here.
Unbalanced mori so unbalanced
All screenshots, except the fourth - solo play.

What are these big buffs you speak of?
0 -
New A tier killers, maps reworks full of dead zones, meta perk, nerf syringes, toolboxes, do gens toguether,..So many things this year, and they only nerf moris. Anyway I never play again moris, now it’s possible I play against them

Franklin's is practically a placebo at this point
0 -
That adds absolutely nothing to the discussion.
I could just cherry pick some screenshots that shows me destroying key players and call it balanced
1 -
Can confirm. You guys announced the insta-heal and BNP changes weeks in advanced and we had to deal with them every entity-damn match for like 2 weeks. Why the hell can't we have our own "Mori Monday!" Guess we'll have to settle for Tombstone Tuesday then!
0 -
So sorry everyone but I'm out of the loop: Where are you seeing these changes? Where can we read them?
0 -
How many key + OoO death squads do you face though.
I can count them on one hand...
After several thousand hours of gameplay :]

This
0 -
So that everyone spams their mories like there's no tomorrow?
I'd rather not
1 -
Wow i can count how many moris you would face less than keys thats for sure and one OoO is enough to make you quit after the game anyways but i am pretty sure i will play surv even if i get moried, so whats your point?
0 -
That's all there is to know about what happens when competent survivors meet a killer. Mori is the only thing that could be opposed to skilled bullysquads, which make this game disgusting. Mori was just patching a hole in the balance sheet.
0 -
Death squads are incredibly rare and don't justify the existence of an overpowered offering.
I would argue that most people used moris not to counter those death squads but solely to stomp average players or else i would not have seen so many first hook mories with 5 or 4 gens.
2 -
We get it, you don't like mori's.
0 -
How do you meet an average player on red ranks, tell me pls. Cause all i face on red ranks is 2 gens poping while i may get 2 hooks, if mindgames work on loops.
0 -
Why would anyone like playing against mories? It's not fun for survivors to get tunneled immediately after getting unhooked once and leave the game with like 3000 points.
It's pretty much the same like old BNPs
1 -
Are you sure?
Because from what i've seen after like 3 years of playing on red ranks is that the majority of players in high ranks is pretty bad or average at the game.
Very good survivors are pretty rare to see in my experience.

The queue times between them aren't "comparable in the slightest" either. I'm gonna come back over the weekend just hoping to see some good threads here and on steam about the queue times lmao. And I might decide to afk noed/bloodwarden wraith a few games too hoping that they took at least 20 minutes finding a match just to think they were gonna coast through it just to have at least a couple of them killed at the last minute lmfao. That'll be a form of bloody but mostly peaceful protest, if survivors become frustrated or discouraged from playing frequently enough between queue times and toxic gameplay then they might lend their vocal majority to killers or at least remove themselves as one more costume stuffer and grab the devs' attention for a change.
Make the survivors either super bored, or super super miserable if you want change. Make them want you sided with just to make their own play time easier for them or fun again. It'll work if it eventually hurts the bottom line driving enough from the game or making them feel spending on it is a waste of money. The way to hut the bottom line is by making sure survivors have the least amount of fun you can manage, since they are the majority which means you need to hit the majority of spenders and make them wanna become nonspenders.
If you don't wanna do that, then at least if you're on pc the least you can do to contribute is to set in a window, minimum rez and size and settings, and justs it in survivor queues all day and if you're at the helm just dodge and queue again once it puts you in a lobby which takes only a few seconds of work every 10-20 minutes or so by then just to make their queues take longer if enough of you do it. If you deprive them of killers And add survivors to compete against in queues... then it makes a noticeable impact on queue times and counteracts the bored survivors leaving the game and it's queues for a while. Think of it like a facebook game or a phone game where you just leave the lobby every 15 to 20 minutes and minimize it again lol. There is no way to know what you're doing and it is an allowed mechanic, so don't have any worries about that unless they change the ability to dodge lobbies which in itself would do it's job and drive so many off of the game very quickly for the lulz.

Nice so lets talk facts instead of expirience cause then we will not get anywhere. Moris were anit gen rush, keys are anti mori. Moris are nerfed thus making keys stronger. We will take you evidence and pretend red ranks are filled with average players. Survs are more likely to get on good player on their side as there is 4 of them. And meeting a good killer is harder due to killer being alone
Now that one good survivor says in chat before game. Guys do gens i have a key and we all escape, because you can do that and there is no incentive to not, because one key means all escape. How is this balanced when now killer cant even secure one-two kills. Ok maybe one but that is a stretch especially taking into account statement above.

please read this:

No, it's pretty much the same as playing against keys. Now they've yet again, changed the speed of games in survivors favor.
0 -
The issues with Keys in my view is that they are very similiar to moris it cuts games shorter then it should be and when killers see a key in the lobby thats a huge red flag as could be a potential SWF there and considering how unbalance swf can be at times mori was a way to stablise the balance of the game. Also keys can have add ons like reveal killer aura etc while mori doesnt want to point that out think alot of people miss the fact you can make keys even stronger with add ons.
Also the get 5 gen done aspect is not true it now depending how many are you alive and how many gens are done to put it simply if you have 4 gens done and one of you are dead then you can use the key to escape with your friends.
Also you dont always get your pip in some cases the survivor escaping by hatch hurts you to black pip or worse and if survivors do some stuff like chases healing etc then they will most likely pip.
But what it comes down to is both Mori and Keys in the right hands are broken features of the game that needed changes. What people are up in arms about is that the mori changes should of been with the key changes i dont think the majority of people disagree with the nerf they disagree that the key and mori changes should be seperate.
Plus all this has done is cause more friction and anger from the killer community towards the devs and fueling the posts that say devs are survivor sided. this change should of been done at the same time as keys to avoid the friction and anger to have some peace in the dbd world for once this year.
2 -
So basically 1 good survivor tells the others to do gens and that magically means the killer can't stop 5 gens from being done without a single kill? If there's 3 bad players, you literally just go for them instead of the good survivor and you usually have a guaranteed 2 or 3 kills.
1 -
Keys have never been anywhere near the same level of game breaking that ebony moris were. You live in an alternate reality if you think they're comparable. If you don't like playing killer anymore, stop playing the game. Or play survivor. If it's not fun for you, stop playing.
2 -
.....New A tier killers? I seriously don't hope you mean twins. map reworks aren't very killer sided. The only thing that got nerfed for survivors was the outrageous Ormond. Macmillan & junkyard maps didn't get worse for survivors, if anything they got better.
Let's talk about all the major nerfs to killer and buffs to survivors. Ruin nerf. Nerfed nurse+addons, nerfed legion, buffed medkits, nerfed spirit+addons, nerfed hillbilly+addons, nerfed pyramid head, added appraisal, buffed various survivor perks, nerfed franklins, nerfed pop etc etc.
The only thing truly good to happen for killers overall in the last two years was undying.

Don’t worry, I already uninstalled it this morning. Enjoy your queue times.

Finally the „secret“ quitters are gone.

I've had it happen to my teammates and myself, atleast 5 games in a row multiple times a week, so please people stop acting like it's a rare occurrence, its not all you killer mains know its not, I play both and to tell you the truth, when playing killer to mori off first hook felt cheap to me, like winning a rigged sport game, there isn't a challenge to the game, the way people were using a mori, pint blank this change is the best thing that could happen to a mori, its still very usable and now fair to both sides.

You can still win against a swf on comms. Moris were a biger problem, and I say that as a KILLER main.
0 -
I play both. This is a long overdue and positive change.
If you want easy wins, you should buy F13 the game and play against the offline bots. That may be more in your wheel house.

First of all, they didn't buff flashlights. They fixed a bug. Second of all, what the point of playing survivor if you die two minutes into the match. Third, this game has become easier for killer and is STILL becoming easier. Fourth, I say this as a killer main who has 3,000 hours on JUST KILLER, and around 300 on survivor, so don't call me a survivor main as I hate playing survivor.

Well, ever chased a good survivor? See maps are being chosen by survs for most of the time, and they really need to mess up or have no second chance perks with them so killer can pit pressure on them, cause right at the start killer is on the back foot. This is the reason why ruin is meta. You dont have to waste time kicking gens thus saving time to pressure survs.
In an equal game with no mori no key and no BT, DS, Adrenaline(i call it second chance perk but i am fine if its factually not), NOED, Unbreakable and dead hard( to an extent second chance perk) then killer gets around 1 or 2 kills. 4k is ussually caused by uber altruism and perk on killer such as save best for last. And even then killer has to soft camp thus addmiting defeat to a large extent.

This actually makes them totally useless lol. It takes longer to mori than to hook so using a mori is actually a detriment now, honestly I'm not even surprised they went this route, anything else would of been more "complicated." I only ever used these to punish key holders but apparently moris are broken and keys are fine.
0 -
The only reason I equip mori would be for the trophy. And I've been robbed numerous times from finishing that crap because of people disconnecting once they see what's happening. Usually the last one points, teabags, then hits the leave button.
Good ######### times

Good survivors play around franklins. You pick up the key, and hide it somewhere in the map, then come pick it up when it is time to escape from the hatch. You can't camp the key to make sure it disappears either, because 2 minutes of doing nothing means 5 gens get done.

Besides buff DS?

It's been nerfed multiple times, like making it an obsession perk, nerfing the stun duration stuff like that so your point is?

This is a good change. Whereas before I'd hardly use Mori's, I see myself using them whenever now. Not particularly as an advantage over survivors with DS, but just for the mori animation's themselves.
Perhaps the developers could even monetize Mori animation's now. I was wary of suggesting this as it would only encourage more unfair Mori offerings. However, now that they're basically purely for viewing pleasure (besides somewhat countering DS), it'd be cool to see a range of different Mori animations for individual killers.
1 -
must admit I'd love to see some new mori animations - I don't mind if I have to purchase them either.
2 -
lol bs, you say that either as a survivor main, or somebody that needs to do more than work unpaid as an entertainer in dbd all day.
0 -
Bruh. Survivor is too easy and it's boring. I'm a rank 20 survivor rn bc I don't play that side XD
0 -
Ds was changed 3 times so get over it.

I mean, the memento mori is meant to just be a cool way of killing a survivor compared to sacrificing the survivor to the Entity.
It's only become a bigger and bigger issue as survivors have expected to get more and more hook states per trial (and now most survivors expect almost max hook score events per game). It's much less of an issue when survivors are dying on first hook (i.e. why the memento mori could be used before hooking a survivor upon launch).
So, I'm alright with the mori change itself in light of the current state of the game, but the mori change means that the devs are even more unlikely to address that expectation of survivors are guaranteed more than one hook, and I'm not so satisfied with that.
0 -
If that was the case, why is it an ultra rare? It costs too many blood points to be only useful for a cosmetic purpose. And if that was the purpose the entire time; why wasn’t the current nerf the base of the offering?
0 -
by the sounds of it, your probably one of the people that made them a problem.
1 -
Mori's still make killers stronger, although now its a lot more fairer to the survivors.
If you think they're useless, you're just trolling.
