Twins - End Game Collapse Nonsense
I'm sure others have encountered this scenario.
You're the last person alive, the hatch was closed.
You get to the gate and the killer's sitting at one gate, victor at the other.
Start opening the gate by victor, he latches on to you. You finish opening the gate.
You can't leave while victor is attached to you..
The twins have the unique ability to literally camp both exit gates and stop people from leaving, which is a bit unbalanced.
At very least, victor should be able to be carried through the gate and he'll just get forced off of you as you exit.

The exit gate thing, I can't really be mad at the killer for. It's a good strategy for the twins when the survivors have done all the gens.
However, you got caught by victor, and didn't try to remove him before exiting. That is entirely your fault.
You could have snuck up on him while they were switching, kicked him. Then opened it. Again, entirely your fault you didn't try to play around it.

Yup, people don’t know how to play against them yet. It’s understandable with being a new killer but unfair to say it needs to be changed this early.

You got outplayed. It's frustrating when you're that close to escaping but there is nothing wrong with it. If anything, you shouldn't be able to interact with the gate switch while Victor is on you.

Once the Killer downs you Victor is removed.
Stand at the exit gate threshold and you'll escape on the ground or if the Killer refuses to hit you just remove Victor.

Well, i was watching my wife playing at the end, i was dead. She crushed victor right at the gate and got hit by killer, and it wouldn't let her crawl out.

Crouching stops Victor from telling charlotte where you are so it's not that bad
there really should have been a tooltip for that though
1 -
Crouching does indeed negate Victor's tracking.
Nobody seems to have caught on yet, though.

You are aware you can just kick Victor off you and just leave right? You can easily do that before they can exit back to charlotte and walk all the way from the other exit gate to the one you are in.
I've had this happen a few times and we haven't lost a single person to this "strategy" even once. Even when the gates are fairly close together.
You can also just crouch walk right past victor if you think they are not playing as him at that moment.
You can also run up and kick him if you see him before he can even jump you.
Like you have so many more gameplay options than the killer does at that moment o.O

Yes it does.

That's cool info and all, but doesn't really help in this situation lol. They know you're at the exit gate and time is limited once they've shut the hatch. I think maybe it was a timing glitch, but she had crushed victor just as the other arrived, got hit & downed, but she was at the threshold and couldn't crawl across

A few killers have the ability to prevent the last survivor getting out via gate. Trapper can trap both switches, plague can infect one switch and camp the other one etc. Also rng or any killer bringing whispers can remove any chances of you getting out as the last one, rip those 5000 BP but that's just how it goes sometimes

I suppose we could do some KYF testing locally, if I go and unlock the twins.
If we do, i'll post findings.

Example of the behavior here. @Almo the delay after victor is crushed... intentional, or oversight?

This isn't really constructive. The original post wasn't worded properly, I'll give you that. It was more to address the issue with the timing hole after crushing victor. You can say "play better next time" all you like, but with the 2 disconnections we had at the start and a try-hard killer, the odds of getting 5 gens done and escaping aren't great. We managed to get 3 gens done before I was killed, but after that, she just wanted to get out.

Correct. Victor only detects Walking, Running, or crawling survivors in the dying state.
