Lobby wait times (survior)
When will this get fixed? The que times are horrible. I use to be able to play at anytime and find matches right away. Didn't matter what time.... Now ques start to suck as early as 6-7pm central. When will the devs fix this issue. Heck, even doing the rift would be easy if ques didn't suck. I and Im sure others want to know when this will be address and worked on. I honestly feel ques have been bad for the past year in a half.

they can't address the fact that a ######### ton of survivors play at the same times with not enough killers.

Survivor queues are long due to a lack of killers during the times your playing in your region.
So for your queues as survivor to get better the developers will need to try to get people to play killer more.

Been like this for awhile now. Game is going down hill.
Every time you play killer someone just dcs or is straight toxic so the killer community gets smaller and smaller with every passing game.
Sucks when you cant even get dailys done.
As a survivor main now i no longer play killer and im not really playing survivor anymore either. Takes forever to get a game and when you do nobody is on the same skill level.
Game is a mess right now.

From my experience (Steam, EU, Crossplay on) Survivor qeues are very fast in the mornings until around noon, but unbearably long in the evenings.
I don´t know how they would address this. When Survivor qeues are 5-15 minutes there seems to be a significant shortage of Killers.

I really hope that bots is not the answer in a few months. I play to play against people, not bots.

Given the fact that this game is survivor-sided, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that there aren't enough killer players.

It’s definitely not survivor sided lmaooo

Yes it is. With the current mori change, i am back to playing 100% survivor. Before that, i could use moris to deal with toxic swfs, but with no option against them anymore, i just don´t play killer at all anymore.
And i am not the only one. And with no killers, there are no games, with few killers, long waiting times for survivors.

it goes in cycles. right now less people are playing killer so that is one reason your waits are longer than normal. another is as said more survivors and same amount of killers = longer wait times. it's just a law of numbers, as well as your rank AND your region.

Tournament play proves it is. Stop thinking like a rank 20 solo player.

As soon as they quit catering to survivors and making every update a "wonder what's ######### for killer now".
Then killers will play again and lobbies will balance.

Damn dude ,are you newer?
Killer is at it's best state ever.

Don't tell the 2019-2020 players what it was like back when vacuum pallets, double pallets, no bloodlust and a lack of exhaustion was a thing. Not to mention wiggle DS and its predecessor, but I guess it still needs nerfing... :)

Tournament level play isn't really comparable to your average match of DBD.

They can’t fix this problem by releasing a hotfix, it’s an issue with player base numbers. In the evenings survivor queues are consistently long and killer queues are instant.
People need more incentive to play killer. The incentive to play survivor is already there: you can play with friends. Killers can get more bloodpoints but that’s clearly not enough at the moment. They either need to address some of the killer frustrations that put them off playing, or use bribery.

No I've been playing since just after the ps4 release. And while yes a lot of really ridiculous exploit-style stuff (insta heals, infinite loops, chaining exhaustion perks etc) has been removed it doesn't change the fact that almost every update since spirit has introduced more synergy for survivors and less for killers.
The game has changed style to keep it "fun" for survivors but at killer expense.
This thread sums it up... Only need 25% of players to play killer to keep it even, yet survivor queues are 5 to 10 times longer on average. This shows fewer people play killer anymore.

Um... The OP topic. Lol

Tournament play shows what the best of the best players can do. If at the highest level, 1 side has a very clear advantage, that trickles down throughout the rest of the game.
There are ways you can balance the game for both top level play, while also improving low level play

Study:
Why would survivor lobbies take so much longer when the killer side requires fewer players?
Method:
Click "play survivor" and time it. Then try killer. Do this at different times of day. For a total of 10 tries in a 24hr period.
Result:
Killer lobbies are faster 8 out of 10 times.
Hypothesis/findings:
Although you need 4 times as many survivors for a match, survivor lobbies are more often in a "waiting" phase.
This, coupled with the results that killer lobbies are almost instant at all times suggests that the game is never short on survivors but rather short on killers.

That better?

its not the game going downhill because survivor queues are going up, and it wouldn't be if killer queues were going up either, thats just how a asymmetric game that allows you to pick your role ends up, take wow for example, you need 5 players to raid a dungeon 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer, just because you didn't find a healer for 20 minutes doesn't mean the games going downhill it just means supply is down. And according to the laws of supply in demand it won't ever get bad enough because eventually some players will be enticed to play the other side because it queues faster or got a buff. Creating a never ending ebb and flow of supply and demand shifting
you only think its the end times because 4x the people feel it when killer supply is down
and if it drives someone off because they don't want to be part of the over supplied side and refuse to play the under supplied side that just means more deserving players take your place and have a shorter queue without you

I usually have this:
During the day survivor ques are lighting fast.
From like 7 pm it switches to killer ques being fast.

This evidence is based on common sense. If the game didn't suck for killer worse and worse, more killers would play. I guess I could copy and paste patch notes, nerfs, useless perks. But since it still won't physically say "catering to survivors" I feel like you still won't get it. And it won't let me draw it in crayon 🖍️ so let's just agree to disagree.
