Hook Bubble Notification

I found that when I'm close to a survivor that just got hooked, the notification bubble obstructs my vision to a point where I can't see the killer if they're near the bubble. Situations like those can be annoying, especially if you're going for a stealthy rescue. In other words, the hook notification bubble does more harm than good if I'm near it.

It would be cool if there was an option to disable/toggle the bubble.

Even if they shortened the duration and make it less obscuring.

Last time I heard a complain about the entity bubble and it obstructing the survivors view, the dev response was that this was intended. They did not give a specific reason why.

Yeah, I remember this, too. Same goes for the completed generator notification bubble obscuring the killer's vision. It forces the player to have to predict the opposition's movements.

Funny thing is they already did that once! I think they halved the time the bubble stayed.

Even with Kindred or Object the bubble obscures your vision, but that same bubble is the only thing you get if you are affected by blindness. 3rd Seal is not very strong but in that case it could be devastating.

Yes, from what I can remember this is by design to limit information that the survivors have with regards to the killers movements - you don't know which direction the killer is heading etc although you know where they were. So as a survivor it's supposed to do more harm than good.

I have always thought the bubble was intended to slightly mess with players.

I thought the bad vision from the bubble while you are a killer was due to the big floodlights of the gen coming on, and the killer also getting angry.

For survivors it is them being scared that their friend has been put on a meat hook and not thinking straight. Us players are just desensitised how brutal the hooks really are
