Ghostface reveal
Today I played against a Ghostface and he crouched about 30m directly to me, I was facing him all the time but he was not revealed in this whole time. Then I ran away and was instantly exposed (red ring). Is that as it suppose to be?

Nope, I know you can't reveal him if you are are hiding behind something, but this problem occurs for me as well when I go against ghostfaces.

Same thing for me, I tested it out and even if I was standing directly in front of a ghostface without anything in my way I could not reveal so I guess itβs always nice to just be exposed for no reason π

My suggestion is that he is save, when he stalks all the time. Maybe someone can test it out

today same ######### again, wuhuuu how fun...

Can literally be 5 feet in front of him, nothing in my way, staring directly at him. Exposed. Doesn't even play the noise to say that I'm revealing him.
Each. And every. Time.
(I am sure this is not how it's supposed to work. RIGHT?)

This is intended. You cannot be too close (or too far) from ghostface if you want to reveal him, and at least 33% of him needs to be visible. This is to reward positioning (in the case of a distant stalk or a well placed lean) and aggressiveness (in the case of in your face). It also helps with making sure you dont detect him just cause your camera lazily glanced over him in the distance, and so the jumpscare of him appearing isnt given away by the audio cue.
Intended behaviour, not buggy.

Ok, fair enough.
However, not 'too close' or 'too far' is... incredibly chancy at best. It seems like no matter where I am, I can never fully reveal him. I have run behind him while he's chasing somebody and still been unable to reveal him! so I don't know what I'm doing wrong... :I
Edit: Just made the joke as I posted this: "Seems like 'too close' just means you could kick him in the nose and run!"

Too close seems to change, i think I've got it down to what he's doing (though its just theory). It seems when he's still, the minimum range is like 2 meters, when moving its like 6 meters and when in a chase its like 12 meters. I thinks its so in a chase the survivor he's chasing cant break him, and by running to close you're considered part of the chase. Or something.

I cannot stress this enough, but this needs a fix.. There have been times when I've been staring him dead in the face, and we havent been able to even begin revealing him. Happens almost every time I go against a ghost face.

I haven't had too many issues with revealing gf on pc, it can be a bit harder but it still works for me for the most part. What's worse is it is entirely too sensitive on the mobile version. they seriously need to tweak his revealing mechanics for both though.
