Bodyblocked whole game by Wraith. Ban?
I am right now in a match where a wraith was invisible all the game and, when I was doing a totem in a corner he went in front of me to bodyblock me. Now he is just standing infront of me for half an hour already while my teammates are running around him not leaving me as we are a SWF. Anything I can do now?

It's reportable as long as all gens aren't done. Other than that you're outta luck.

Do one of your teammates have a flashlight? If you do light burn him and try to get him to move.

No, they searched all the chests on the map for a flashlight. Although I believe that this wouldn't do nothing.

Get you teammates to do the gens and escape, because technically they're holding the game hostage as Wraith is only trapping a single person

Your teammates are technically the ones holding the game hostage by refusing to do generators and leave. It is only against the rules to block all survivors simultaneously.
Not bannable, not reportable, just accept the 1k and move on.

Mods have said on other posts where killer has body blocked someone for an entire match that it is reportable, they just need to submit a ticket with video proof.

Actually bodyblocking a survivor in the corner is a reportable offense, once all the gens are complete the survivors are no longer capable of holding the game hostage, since the doors can be opened by the killer.
Standing AFK in a corner isn't holding the game hostage but is still a reportable offesnse and AFKing in front of a survivor is the same thing.

Once the gens are powered neither side is capable of holding the game hostage which is what im trying to say.
Killer and survivors can open gate to start EGC so unless everyone is bodyblocked in the same corner its not bannable.
If everyone is trapped in the dead-end room on Dead Dawg and the killer refuses to move then that is reportable.

Yes but refusing to play the game is bannable, and just bodyblocking a survivor in a corner and not playing is
Edit: For clarification if you look at the reports in game I believe the "Unsportsman Like Conduct" report specifies AFKing under it.

Report the other 3 survivors for not repairing the gens and game hostage. The killer didn't body block the 4 survivors.

Its a method of killing the survivor so I'd say that's playing the game. Point is that there's nothing stopping them from leaving immediately, there's no reason OP needs to stay bodyblocked for half an hour when his friends could leave anytime.

I agree bodyblocking someone in a corner is punishable, but I never heard anything about banning people not playing the game. If thats the case, wouldn't basement chest protecting bubbas get banned? Farming is also technically not playing the game, yet players who partake in it don't get banned either.

I wanna say that the Wraith can be reported for griefing, but I am not certain on this. I feel like I remember a mod saying that something like this is a reportable offense, but I can't find a mod post verifying such.

Pretty sure it is, but logically speaking it shouldn't be. As long as you aren't the last survivor and the EGC hasn't started, the survivors are the only ones who can hold the game hostage if the Killer bodyblocks a survivor all game, cuz it's up to the survivors to complete the generators. If it was up to me, the Wraith would NOT be in the wrong here, since he technically isn't preventing the game from progressing. However, it's BHVR, so I'm pretty sure it's reportable

By this same logic body blocking a hook or a hit on an damaged survivor is also a report able offence because it prevents the killer from doing an objective that can still be done in other ways

Then it make it fine that any player can use scummy tactics. If killer play scummy survivor can as well and thats not fun at all. Its not fair how the killers can be unfair in this way but survivors aren't.

Where talking about a game here and not real life. If it was I would agree however if it was.
However based on what your saying the survivors can play unfair as well. If the psychopath is not going to be fair in order to get the kill neither should the victim play fair in order to survive.

It is NOT reportable. It would only be reportable if there was no way for the game to end. Your team can leave, the game can end, not reportable.

technically speaking, farming is bannable under the rules (working with the killer) but realistically no one is banned for farming.

Not really, in accordance to his statement we would need to know the state of the trail at the point of the body block starting. Where 4 gens already done and etc only a minute away or were more than 3 still up?
Why didn't his teammates in his swf just end the game and left him for one trial. It's not as if the world ends if you don't get out everytime just because 4 people want to leave together. Swf increase altruism to the extreme, if he would've been a random with 3 others (swf or not), they would've probably not even noticed the problem and started the egc for the trial to end.
Edit: of course the Playstile of the wraith is an unsportsmanlike conduct but, just from.the information given, nothing seems to be completely set in stone and the whole problematic didn't need to escalate to 30+ minutes.

Sorry no, the killer (as it's been a long time) is technically holding the game hostage as they've not allowed that survivor to participate in the game.
This is definitely reportable, please video it and send to support https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us as well as make a report in the end game chat.

I would say the Wraith manually staying in place and locking someone in for 30+ minutes invalidates anything else. It does not matter if the SWF wants to leave or not because the Wraith is committing to it regardless.

Not really from my pov. It is in the hands of the swf to end this matter, unfair as it may be, in a matter of less than 5 minutes but decided to blow it up to 30+.
If the blocked survivor would've been face camped and been the only kill, the whole ordeal wouldn't have taken as long with the same results. Prolonging like this feels like hurt pride or emotion from the swf, to get the fourth guy out at all costs.
I don't aknowledge his overall behaviour but at the point of all gens done (if it ever came to that point or they stopped midway), I would've viewed it (from wraiths pov) as a kind of experiment to see how far an swf is going to stay in the trial, instead of starting the egc, "go next" and simply report the me.
Feels the same as people starting to argue with a toxic player via chat in league of legends. It won't help or improve the situation. The best solution there is finish the game, report the toxic person and go for the next game.

I had a match like this a few days ago and I did report with video evidence I'm now patiently waiting for the outcome which will probably take a while (last time I reported it took 20 days). The wraith wasn't even AFK since after the survivor dc'd he came to the gate we just opened.

Your team should honestly just do gens and get out. He's probably got NOED and Bloodwarden, just trapping you until endgame to ensure a hook during egc. It sucks you're a victim and can't really fight back in this scenario, but if I'm assuming right, at least your team can take a guess and leave him with a 1k instead of 4k
And I don't know about you, but I'd rather just take a loss and move on than wait a half hour or longer for a chance to *maybe* be able to do something

IF ANY its you guys who are taking game hostage, open the doors make the EGC start. you will die of course but he will also lose, ######### happens, but since EGC is a thing, its not that big of a deal because u arent the last survivor, the game can finish and is on you to finish it guys, if it was for the entire game well is a shame from him but whatever, i dont think is that great of a deal, any case submit a ticket and see what happens i dont think he will get banned or anything due that, i think is just too much because the game can finish, that should of been 10 minutes at most, you delayed the game double the time it was required because you could.

That’s not correct. If the Wraith body blocked for minutes on end, it’s considered griefing, and is reportable.
