Survivors should be unique

There’s no point buying a new survivor after you get one you like fully upgraded. They should add an incentive to get new characters, like them being unique.

I suggest they give each survivor an ability and this is gained when prestiged. At no prestige, each survivor is the same, but every time you prestige the ability grows in strength. For example:

Dwight: Increase chest search, totem cleansing and sabotage when allies are within 16m by 2/4/6% depending on the prestige level

Meg: Exhaustion times decreased by 1/2/3%

Claudette: Increase heal speed on injured survivors by 1/2/3%

Jake: Increase sabotage speed by 2/4/6%

nea: Decrease time scratch marks are visible by 0.5/1/1.5 seconds

Ace: increase luck by 2/4/6%

bill: increase recover speed in the dying state by 2/3/4%

Feng: Limits generator sound by 1/2/3m

David: reduce groans of pain by 2/4:6%

Laurie: Increase struggle speed by 1/2/3%

Quentin: increase gate open speed by 1/2/3%

Detective Tapp: Can hear gens at an extra 2/3/4m

Kate: Increase vault speed by 1/2/3%

Adam: Increase time taken to reach second stage on hook by 1/2/3%

Jeff: Unhooking speed increased by 1/2/3%

Jane: Increases stun time on killer by 0.5/1/1.5 seconds

Nancy: Increase in Killer trap audio (if the killer has trap audio) by 3/6/9m

Steve: Increase speed boost when hit by 1/2/3%

Cheryl: Adds 1/2/3 seconds of use to aura related items

Ash: Increased sabotaging, searching and totem breaking when alone by 2/3/4%

Yui: pools of blood disappear 0.5/1/1.5 seconds earlier

Zarina: Increase base crouch speed by 1/2/3%

Felix: Decrease consumption of items by 1/2/3%

Elodie: When injured, have increased gen progression by 1/2/3%

I feel these small changes to survivor’s ability will not only make survivors actually interesting but also give an incentive to prestige your survivor besides just getting a blood soaked outfit

    Yes!!!

I absolutely agree! Since survs are all the same but different skins, there should have unique abilities. And for those who would say that these abilities could become OP with some perks... i mean... who cares, Killers are absolutely useless with some perks or stronger with some other perks, so why not making it the same way for survivors?

    1. This shouldn't be tied to prestige. Yeah prestige would do "something" but the diffrence between P1 and P3 is pretty significent
    2. Again, I will post this in every idea related to this - There would be meta survivors (even more than now). Possibly it would be Kate/Jane alongside Claudette.
    3. Let's say I like playing stealthy but my character I already prestiged because I like their design specializes in being chased. Do I just play with them or Prestige 3 another survivor?
    4. if (some) effects are weak, why should they exist in the first place?

It's not gonna happen. There would be meta survivors and it would break the cosmetics economy, which is the cash cow of the game.

The point of survivors being skin is exactly so you can play the ones you prefer without penalties.

That's busted and it shouldn't be in the game all you'd have is janes elodie's steves kates and lauries running around especially elodies and janes since you can slap on resilience and spine chill for really fast gens and have janes be the runner since stuns are better with her. Flip flop power struggle tenacity unbreakable would be way stronger on laurie steve also would gain more distance when injured so he's better at looping and kate would have the fastest vault speed especially with spine chill resilience

pretty much what I was going to say and we don't need meta survivors.

I think that another way to do this is to limit the amount of Learned perks that are allowed to be used. This would mean that Survivors would become slightly more unique as they can use all of their own perks whereas another survivor cannot. It might not work though as everyone would just be Bill as he has the most usable personal perks (unbreakable, BT)

Maybe making one perk for each character a signature perk that only they can use.

Perhaps limiting learned perks to green level. This means only the survivor who the perk is actually from has access to purple level. After all they should be the best at that perk.

I do agree it is dumb that survivors are basically just reskins of each other

This is good in theory but would be bad in execution for many reasons detailed above!

I absolutely adore the idea, and honestly I think most of those are pretty balanced and stay relevant to the characters themselves!!

Honestly, all other negatives aside, meta survivors would be the problem, though the changes are so minuscule on the would be meta survivors I dont really see the problem anyway, there is a difference between 3% extra distance and 5% extra distance when hit and it's big, but the 3% isnt gonna be a god send save, it might get you the extra pallet, but you'll still be injured afterwards, furthermore, certain killers can completely negate the use of prestige affects like this! This argument can be made for every, single, one of those prestige perks listed above!
