What could be some fun environmental effects (not weather) to add to each map?

I think it would be fun if each map had some triggers that survivors or killers (or both, depending on the trigger) could choose to activate.

For balance, most triggers should have both good and bad effects, so you have to weigh your options as to whether it’s worth it. Some will be purely beneficial for one side.

I know there are a few environmental, but I’d like to see something more meaningful than a “ding” when you enter the gas station


Ideas off the top of my head:

  • a wrecking ball that blasts through the “car wall” at AutoHaven.
  • release toxic gas at Hawkins. It rises and “hinders” anybody who goes upstairs or onto catwalks. Causes screams as well.
  • detonate wagons of TNT at Dead Dawg to blast extra vaults into building facades.
