During The Realm Beyond Updates are we going to see some Updated Perks?
Dead by Daylight is littered with subpar and useless perks, which is one of many reasons the game's grind is so tedious and the game's meta is so boring.
Most of the time people will collect the good perks and then nothing else, keeping a relatively boring playstyle for their opposition that they always complain about.
One of the ways they try to alleviate frustration with perks being OP is by nerfing them into the ground, but by doing so they're doing nothing but perpetuating the issue of the meta being stale by not actually changing it. (Example: Mettle of Man was OP as ######### but they nerfed it into unusable territory so now it literally is never used.)
Instead of nerfing perks into the ground because of a mass consensus of them being OP, why don't we instead upgrade and buff preexisting perks to make them viable, but to also make it so that when you're grinding through the game you'll actually get value out of the throwaway perks you're collecting.
We don't need more nerfs, we need more buffs, because really? Does anyone actually use Small Game or Spies from the Shadows religiously? Did anyone level up Ash because they wanted Buckle Up that badly?
The game has so many bad perks and the Realm Beyond seems as good a time as any to at least put some thought into a Major, Both Class, Community Approved Perk Overhaul.

They'll probably throw in another unannounced perk change. Like they did discordance and PGTW.
Still kinda mad about that, mostly because those two perks were fine as is.

All I can say is they'd better not make Infectious Fright only work on basic attacks. Give it a small cooldown if you absolutely have to nerf it. If Infectious only triggers on basic attacks then Plague and Oni are dead. Please, almo, have mercy on us plague mains, we've suffered enough

Pop was known.

What I meant was that they never mentioned it in streams as being up for a change. At the very least they put it in the patch notes.
Can't really speak for how well it was recieved though.

They don't announce everything in streams. If that's the only way something is known then we didn't know about the Ormond/Autohaven graphical update. We didn't know about the Pyramid Head changes in the last midchapter. We didn't know so many other things (those were just the first 2 that came to mind). They are not required to tell us everything that's getting changed in a patch, especially if it wasn't on their mind during the stream.

The thing is, they've used streams in the past to tell us what perks will be next for their changes. For the past couple of perk change updates actually, none of which mentioned PGTW in stream. I never even mentioned killer changes, which have historically never been mentioned in streams.
And I'm sorry what?! "They aren't required to tell us everything that's getting changed in a patch." That is exactly what patch notes are for my dude! To tell us exactly what is getting changed in a patch!

When I said that I meant prior to the patch. When the patch releases, yes in the patch notes they're required to tell us everything that's changed.

That would be wonderful; meta-perks are fun and all, but they get stale after a while. Bringing in some newly buffed perks might shake things up; I'd love to see a buffed autodidact or surge. They might fix some unfortunate combinations too, like ruin/undying. Of course, most perk changes I've seen have been unannounced, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

They said it would be too weak if they did so it’s not getting changed
can’t say the same for knockout though

I use small game when I'm running alone. Gotta stop that NOED from popping up somehow

Honestly, I think they might have nerfed Knock Out while designing Twins. Imagine old Knock Out hiding the aura when Victor goes on a slugging spree. *shudders*

God that would almost be as bad as pre nerf forever Freddy

provided it's literally a plague perk people would scream as it would make adepting miserable

And Discordance is better than before. Not sure how the final Discordance change was bad.

Rebalancing perks really should be done a bit faster than buffing/nerfing 4 of them every mid-chapter, but it is understandable that they don't want to make too big changes in a short time.
So many perks are mediocre or just not strong enough to matter but close to greatness, with simple mathematical buffs they could even become problematic so the effects themselves need to be touched...and that's how you make the game even more of a buggy ######### mess

Because now has a 128 yard radius so if you are kissing the corner of Mother's Dwelling or Shelter Woods you may not get a warning in the gen that sits kissing the exact opposite corner of the map, I mean, that happens like pretty much every trial, same as generators being in corners, in the 4 of them same as Killer going to a corner where there is nothing at all.
Ive lost count of how many times I get this gen configuration every day, how Im supposed to detect them?! come on!.

You talk a good talk, but the problem is the game's mechanics don't support a lot of perks.
Before buffing perks the game's basic mechanics need to be fixed. The only viable strategies on both sides is to loop and genrush, and to genguard and use detection perks.
Everything else is useless and junk because the game is the way it is.

Yeah but gens aren't located in corners, they are more in the middle or near a corner. And as a Killer, you don't stand in a corner, you roam the map and even on Mothers, when you are in the middle of the Map while Discordance triggers, you will see every gen because they can't be further than 128 metres if you stand in the middle.

I know, I was being sarcastic, thats why I posted a picture of Mother's Dwelling where 2 of the gens are located one in another map and one in the void between maps (along 3 positions that cant spawn gens in Mother's Dwelling).
The 128 radius covers pretty much every part of the map unless you are doing weird stuff like sitting on a corner on the biggest maps, it was just a joke on how people complain about anything like its the end of the world.
