Are you really leaving the RNG to decide if surv escapes from bear trap?
I'm surprised you decided to do some changes to Trapper but I'm also really surprised what kind of changes you decided to do.
Randomness here is bad for both sides. Sometimes survivor can quickly escape, which kinda dimnishes the role of the trap, sometimes it will took several attempts that can give Trapper a precious time to do something else or just come from the other side of map and grab him. As killer, you can't be 100% sure when survivor will slip out. Is it worth to drop the chase, leave gen or totem to pick him up? He's just over there, that's a free hook. Well, nevermind, he get out and you ended with empty hands. You can't base decisions on randomness, you have no guarantee of what will happen with your trap on another escape attempt. It's absurd.
Escaping from Bear Trap should take 8 seconds, this time could be altered by addons or survivors' perks. Rescuing teammate should be much faster but not as almost instant as is it now, let's say 60-75% faster. During these 8 seconds the Trapper can cover ~37 metres, which is slightly more than his default terror radius. So that will be enough for both parties to know the outcome.

psst, even if a survivor escapes the trap they're still injured and vulnerable

Only if they weren´t injured before (in which case getting outplayed and making the mistake of stepping in a bear trap has literally 0 consequences other than destroying the time it took the trapper to fetch and set the trap as well as making it useless since its location is now known), don´t have any pallets left in a huge area, still have significant objective progress ahead of them and have no way of healing.
