Soloq Problem Fix
We all know how bad is soloq. No informations, wasting time... Here is my concept how i would make soloq better: Just simply add quick chat for survivours! Quick chat would contain sentences like:
I'm making a generator! 68% (progress of gen)
I'm being chased
I will go for unhook
I need healing!
Killer is nearby (available when hooked to say if killer camp)
Another thing that i would add is marking. Survivours behind their portraits would have colours (pink, light blue, lime, light gray) that would match those of their own marks.
Pressing 3 key button would mark hexes/generators/traps/KILLER (to say where he is) if looking directly at them. Marking would give something like Survivours Instinct (killer instinct for survivours) for 2s and will give information what u marked on quick chat (without revealing aura).
Last thing i would add is totems counter to know how many totems were destroyed and how many left on map.
Every information u can easily get by playing with someone so giving this to soloq wouldnt be bad and will make playing with randoms better!

Quick comms? That's actually a very good idea! I hope they aren't lazy to support different languages though.
I think just normal marks of like the map addon is already enough to be basekit, marking the killer is a bit OP.. reminds me of a perk.. OoO...
A nice suggestion for a totem counter is to put 5 candles in the basement, for every unlit candle is how many there are cleansed.
I 100% agree that soloQ just needs a little bit more info to encourage more teamwork.. because this game can not be played alone if your goal is for as many people to escape.

This looks cool! Another one that would be very useful and simple to implement could be revealing the perks of the whole team.

When playing with full team everyone know where is killer even without OoO and it wouldnt give aura. Marking killer would be only available when looking directly at the killer. OoO user still cant say to randoms what killer is making right now.

If it weren't for SWF I would be 100% against this idea. But maybe, JUST MAYBE, they could start evening the playing ground between the two and instead of balancing around how "hard" solo queue is (which it still isn't) vs how easy SWF is.

I have a solution for solo q aswell. Play Killer.
Or how the cool kids say nowadays, play "the tunneler".

Well I understood "marking" the killer as showing their aura so if a 2nd survivor could mark a killer during a chase, it'd basically do the same as OoO. Not saying that this would be as strong as OoO in SoloQ or something, it's just that we didn't need an OoO that worked for soloQ too.

Sooo... Identity V's quick message system, basically?

Yes, but with marking things

i mean mark would give something like legion have after hitting survivour

Another thing that would help is if survivors would actually learn how to play the game and not make silly mistakes all the time. That alone would fix most problems.

You mean, like a decent thorough tutorial of some kind?

Honestly, that's why I find the new survivor icon placement interesting. I can imagine them adding quick chat, where the message is place next to a survivor. It might just be wishful thinking, but that's the first thought that came to mind when I saw the placement and them announcing they redid the HUD, so they could add new features.

I don't know. Probably wouldn't hurt.
What would be most helpful is if survivors played the killer role more. I think that would help a lot.

When I opened this thread I was expecting some smart ass comment like "Play with friends" lol

already been suggested, dev say it would destroy the core design of the game

I know that, but OoO also shows your own aura.

The whole premise of the game was to see if 4 strangers could work together with limited communication and escape. You know, like a horror movie. It is more difficult for solo players only when it come to perk selection. If you're by yourself and not using perks like Aftercare, Bond, and Kindred you're insane.
