I played DBD for 5k hours and I'm Pissed. Big, mad post.
Okay, first of all, I'm not a random player who talks random crap. I'm a legacy player with almost 5100 hours in this game, I play both sides but consider self as a killer main. I might talk rude, but this game just forces me to.
I have a lot of crap to talk about, I just don't even know from what to start. I just see that the devs have no idea of what they are doing. Game is completely unbalanced, not counting bad servers, bugs and the toxic community. I love the game with all my heart and it has tons of potential, but it has so much ######### that I'm often thinking, that I should be done with it years ago. So I feel trapped playing a game I like but also hate. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but for real, you have to change your approach about developing this game.
My English isn't perfect. You can and you will call me a cry baby, do it if you want. I just hope devs will actually take it seriously from one of the oldest and still active players they have.
RANK SYSTEM.
Rank means nothing, but why the #########, if I'm playing with my friends in SWF, most of the times, I either derank, or black pip. I played about 10 SWF games today as 3, I went from rank 1 to rank 2 in a row, because we completely destroyed those killers, no chances for them. On the other side, half of the killers were playing like rank 15-10. Survivors are punished by the ranking system if they are Good, or killers are Bad. In either case, it's because lack of actions to grind for the emblems. And we aren't even sweating, just playing with brain.
If I'm playing killers, I'm trying to play fair, no camp, tunnel or slug (I might slug just to make a fast hit on others, but that's all). It's very easy to get to the red ranks by playing like that, but in red ranks, system punishes me for playing fair. In order to rank up, I must play strongest / broken killers, to compete with the gen repair speed and play like an ######### while hoping that they aren't fully loaded by second chance perks (as they always are).
PERKS.
Both sides has about 10% perks which are meta / broken, about 30% perks which are decent / fun and the last 60% perks are straight up garbage / hard to use / insane cool downs on top of first 2 reasons.
If you have access to all / most perks as a survivor, all you will be using is : BT, DS, DH, Unbreakable, Adrenaline, IW, SB, WGLF, OoO, SC, Spine Chill.
Some of these perks are second chances and there might be 16 second chance perks for the killer to deal with. My logic behind these perks is simple, if killer is playing like an ######### (hard tunneling / camping / slugging), then these perks will punish him. BT against campers and tunnelers if they are going for the unhooked person in a dirty way, DS against tunnelers, Unbreakable and WGLF are against hard slugging. If killer playing fair, he won't be dealing with these perks, but problem is, ######### / toxic type of survivors, will use these perks not as they were designed, just shitting on you on purpose, because they know, they can get away with it. And none of these perks requires skill or brain.
If you have access to all / most perks as a killer, all you will be using is : BBQ, Corrupted Intervention, PGTW, Infectious Fright, Hex: Undying + Hex: Ruin as a combo, NOED, Sloppy Butcher, M&A, STBFL, Bamboozle.
Most of these perks are the best choices for most killers, while in certain cases, are a must. But killer perks aren't even close to being broken compared to the survivor side. The only issue is Hex: Undying-Ruin combo, which is a pure gamble, but if killer is lucky, he might get carried for free, again, without using any skill or brain from his side.
I just don't understand why devs can't nerf broken perks such as DS, at least make it so it won't work while being grabbed and if killer hooked someone else during your 60 seconds of invulnerability, DS will be disabled. There are tons of simple changes which won't allow toxic or bad players to abuse them in a unhealthy way for the game. Why you can't hard buff most useless perks, which I seen in play maybe 1-5 times in my 5000 hours, not counting the Adept achievements ?
STOP making useless perks. With every chapter, perks of both sides must change the "usual" playstyle, or make new options for it. There is one good perk for both sides every 5 chapters or so, is it a joke ?
GENS.
Most killers will ######### about "gen rush" without any ideas, why this happened. I can play in red ranks, repairing gen in 5-10 meters from the killer, who won't hear / see me, or will simply ignore me, because he is busy chasing / tunneling that one survivor.
From the other side, it's just way too easy to sit AFK on gens and hold M1. Just make sure that you won't repair all gens in one place, cornering your self and if it's possible, don't run in to other survivors who are working on gens while you are being chased. Solo survivor will need 80 seconds to repair a gen without any perks and toolboxes. Killer might spent 30-60 second just to find his first survivor (if they all will hide as #########), about 5-60 seconds to make his first hit then another 10-60 seconds to do his second hit. Of course all depends on the survivors and killers juking-chasing and mind gaming skills, map spawns, perks and which killer you are playing, how good or bad you are with his power. But that's why you can't even play killers who aren't top tier in the red ranks, unless survivors will be dumb.
Remember the game in 2016 ? Remember when survivors were always healing up, wasting time on it (but SC was broken as #########...). Remember how stealthy survivors were and weren't running as much ? And what about now ? Survivors has no fear, running around the map leaving scratch marks all over, so they moving from gen A to gen B a lot faster which results in faster repairs. Confident survivors might not heal up and use that time to push gens further.
Example of the game a few days ago, we were playing SWF as 3 on the Suffocation Pit vs the Plague. She had Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Hex: Undying and Hex: Ruin, also the ultra rare addon which shows your aura whenever you vomit. We all escaped that game. Hard to believe right ? Let's cover games details and do some math. We all were fully infected pretty fast, but we were cleansing only in very late game, we spent 90% of the game with the 20% repair speed penalty, while Dying light had about 6-8 stacks, which means 41% gen speed penalty on average for 3 survivors and our obsession had 20%. We managed to destroy Hex: Ruin somewhere in the middle of the game. So with all the repair speed penalties, gen regression, being broken with her ultra rare addon the whole game, we still managed to juke that Plague, do all gens and escape. And this is still not enough to prove that gen repairing speed is too fast or SWF is too strong, neither of these issues are looked at by the devs, because most of the player base are casuals and balance is either non existent, or being around rank 15-10.
KILLERS.
If you want to play killers at high ranks, your choice is simple : Nurse, Spirit, Twins who are just broken killers, I won't explain why, but to beat the broken balance you need to use a broken killer as well. Hillbilly, Huntress, Deathslinger, Hag, Demogorgon, Executioner, Blight, Oni, Doctor are decent, but you actually have to play them well or as some kids are doing, just abuse their zoning protentional and nothing else... All the remaining killers are ok, but will suffer a lot vs survivors who aren't bots. A lot of them has great powers in theory, but on practice it's just garbage / easy to avoid or counter.
Why the hell I am forced to play certain killers at certain ranks, just to be able to play the game without losing it in 3 minutes. I'm a killer main, I can play Spirit and get 4 kills at 4-5 gens every game in the red ranks, but she is broken, enough of people can do it. But if I will play any of the decent killers from my list, no matter how good I will play them, gens might be done in minutes still, if I won't play like an #########. People are asking to make Wraith's Wind Storm addon as base, because it's needed to make him somewhat viable for higher ranks. Instead, you just change the way his stealth works, which is good, but not even close to be enough for the higher ranks. You are just afraid to make bigger changes where they needed.
TOXICITY.
Every game is made from 4 survivors and 1 killer, on top of that, most players are survivor mains who might not even have rank 1 killer achievement after 3000-5000 hours. So let's imagine 7/10 of the player base is considered by survivor mains. A lot of people sooner or later will be bored and will have fun shitting on the killers on purpose. All the toxic / tournament (tournaments in dbd... what a ######### joke...) squads who doing everything to make killers feel bad, if killers aren't skilled enough to fight back and show them their place. What we have after ? Killers might quit the game, might play survivor only or might return the toxicity back to other survivors. They start to camp, tunnel, hard slug more and more. Survivors in return, are pissed by those killers and abusing all the second chance perks and being even more toxic, which is an endless circle. I know, I know, hardest thing in this game is to be nice to each other and just have ######### fun together, respect each other, it's just impossible, right.
SERVERS AND HITBOXES.
Huntresses fridges... You know what I mean... Or you ever had a situation, when all players have a good ping, but are vaulting pallets / windows after being shocked by Doctor / speared by Deathslinger and they are doing it after 1-1.5 seconds as those actions occurred ? It's also impossible to grab survivors by stealth killers, because how trash these servers are, but when you grab them as they save someone from the hook, and they still safe that person ? Do you even imagine how many times it happened to me ? And list of such bullshit is so long that I won't even bother.

What an absolute joke of a paragraph. You want people to feel sorry for you not getting being rank rewarded better because you are just TOOOO good at the game.

This is really the inly defendable thing there. They dont add good perks in new dlc really because theyre afraid of being called pay to win (a bit late with DS and STBFL tho)

Of course they forgot. Streamers and casual players made sure it got nerfed into uselessness.

It needed a nerf for sure. Just think they were a little heavy handed. It should be like deliverence. That's also a very strong perk but its balanced by being limited to about 2 uses per match between a whole team.
