Ultra-wide Support in 2021? Is it really that unfair?
Arguments for and against Ultra-wide support? At this point in time using an ultra-wide monitors puts you at a disadvantage and zooms the screen in? So if the devs logic is that you shouldn't have an advantage based on what monitor you own then why do you punish people for the monitor they own? Since a new hud update is coming out it seems like a good time to address the issue at hand once and for all.

You're not being punished for having an ultrawide.
You're just not allowed to use it for an advantage.

There is no 16:9 option in the menu so define not being punished? The screen is zoomed in further then it would be on a normal screen.

So you have same fov

Registered on this forum just to anwser to this post - the game's fov scale is Vert-, which means ultrawide users have only one axis of fov the same as others. And as OP mentioned - no option to change resolution in-game. After over 4 years of game existance. In 2021...

Um, I mean, there should be a resolution setting but not zoom you out too far so there is not an advantage.

Right now ultrawide screen users have cut more than 30% of their screen, so what do you propose? Just play in 16:9 aspect ratio?
Okay, a bit sidetrack idea, but how about this - everyone has access to FOV slider - both killers and survivors, regardless of what their resolution of the game is. So the game stays fair, people with motion sickness and ultrawide can finally play it. How is that a bad thing?
