Is Bubba Bad?

Options

I'm low rank and have been playing exclusively Bubba when I play killer. So far, I'd say I'm doing OK most games. Should I be worried? Like, I've made a few good plays so far and I don't know if I should switch to another killer before I get too high rank.

Bubba is a very hated character because his power can easily be exploited and as it is now very much rewards camping.

But he's not a bad character. If you play him fair he can be one of the most fun killers to face/play.

No, when you master his saw and are able to control it without hitting obstacles/environment, you are a force to be reckoned with. You just have to learn how to chase survivors properly. His saw allows you to catch up to sprint bursting survivors and down survivors that have borrowed time procc'd since it usually hits them twice.

He isn't top tier, but a good Bubba that knows what he is doing is extremely dangerous.

Personally I don't camp because I'd rather actually have fun instead of stand still simulator lmao

I'll take this into account, thanks

I would not be worried. I play him half the time at rank 1.

He is very satisfying to play, has great addons, and has a very solid plan B if the game is going poorly (camp someone to death).

He is one of the few killers who can easily keep up with the current meta.

Bubba is a very strong killer. He used to be rather weak, but his power got heavily buffed to allow for not only skillful gameplay but a much more dangerous character overall. He chews through pallets, can use his power in loops (with a lot of skill and practice) and has an instadown that can quickly snowball map pressure by taking a team of 4 cocky, full health survivors down to a team of 2 healthy people and 2 on hooks wondering how they screwed up so bad.

His only major weakness is a lack of map mobility, but the same thing can be said about almost every killer in the game, so it's kind of a good problem to have.

I had the same problem not too long ago when I tried to pickup Bubba, and there is only ONE solution- but luckily its an easy one! You must discover.... THE BACK REV.

All you gotta do is chase your survibors without hitting them, get up until your sensual Texan BBQ breath is tickling the back of their necks, then let that chainsaw rip. Start revving when you're spooning them, basically. Most if not all of your downs should be chainsaw.

This is probably his gold standard build. If you want to take him to high rank I recommend getting bamboozle as soon as possible. Infectious is a greedy perk but Bubba can get away with it.

An instant down that can outrun a sprint burst is never a bad thing.

He is not a top tier killer because things like window loops can be brutal; but he is an easier killer to play as if you are good with not colliding into objects.

If you handle Bubba well with the chainsaw and know how to master the 3 charges well, you will have a lot of fun with him, especially if you have good sluggeo perks and addons that increase your distance when you hit with the chainsaw.
