Give Overcharge a Cooldown
I get it, overcharge sucks. No one uses it because its not strong blah blah blah.
They changed hatch mechanics to move matches along and so hatch stand offs would no longer be a thing. EGC and this was easily the BEST change they've ever made in DBD.
I've noticed tons of Killers will get their ass handed to them and resort to making the match miserable for the survivors by holding a 3-gen setup. "But Neon, you could've prevented the 3-gen." How? In a solo scenario, how can one person prevent the 3-gen? Hell, even in a SWF I don't always identify a 3-gen setup.
My argument is this. 4-3 survivors are normally still alive in this scenario and overcharge has unlimited uses with no cooldown. This leads to matches that can last 20-30 minutes and is not fun for either side. Perks like thrilling tremors, I'm All Ears, Oppression all have cooldowns and aren't very strong perks. Why not give overcharge a short cooldown(60 seconds at the very least) so the Killer can't make the 3-gen setup even more miserable than it already is?

Because overcharge is a joke and ive hit so many of them without even realizing there was an overcharge skillcheck

Because Overcharge sucks even without the cooldown, and we shouldn't make it suck even more by giving it a cooldown?

If you want to give overcharge a cooldown, you need to give it a stronger effect. Right now its effect is absolutely worthless in high ranks. Here's an effect that makes it cooldown worthy and somewhat worth combining with Gearhead or something.
After kicking a generator, great skill checks during repairs on that generator do not grant any progression bonus. This effect lasts for 30 seconds or until a survivor fails a skill check on that generator. Failing a skill check on that generator grants an increased 3%/4%/5% extra regression penalty.
Overcharge can only be triggered once every 30 seconds

Overcharge is the weakest gen defense perk of them all, and often provides basically 0 effect against higher level survivors (especially those used to old Ruin)

People really will blame Killers for anything.
Killers didn't clear the other 4 gens, brah. Survivors did. That was your team's own dumb fault.
