My Idea for a Better Piggy (Pt. 1)
We all love her, that low-squatting, slow-mo teabagging, pig-screech spamming, perky-eared boop target with the most adorable squeak when you slam her with a pallet.
As a survivor she keeps you on your toes with tracking perks, stealth plays, and slowdowns that make the game more than a hold 'w' simulator, and as a Killer she's a unique stealthing experience that makes you feel like you're truly in charge of the game.
But there are one or two things that could be changed to make her just a bit more viable in my opinion.
First of all, lets adress Hangman's Trick. Honestly, I never use this perk, because sabotaging survivors are so easy to avoid that it hurts. I just feel like this perk is pointless, and we'd be better off replacing it altogether, maybe another genny-control perk to emphasize the whole Gamemaster shtick.
What do you guys think? Do any of you even use Hangman's Trick?

Nope, I've never used Hangman's. It was pretty good when they buffed it in a PTB awhile back, but they reverted the change. :(

I never play her outside tampered timer / crate of gears and even then I don’t enjoy her much. M1 killers are obsolete.

better piggy = bigger snoots for the boops

And its sad that this is true, considering that m1 killers were the foundation of this game. In their quest to make the game 'more interesting' they've ruined the classics of the game itself.

I never used and never will. I don't know why they ignore this and other useless perks, at this point it's just there to make the game more heavy.

Hangman's Trick is garbage. The change they made to it in that one PTB had some promise if it was balanced correctly, but then they decide that rather than balance it into a potentially useful information perk, they should ram it straight into the ground and make it weaker than before it was changed.

I kind of miss the old hangman’s trick. Sometimes you had a perfect hook in the middle of a 3 gen and could use it a few times in a row. It was like every hook was a basement hook.
And it was always pretty funny if someone was doing that sit under the hook “tech” and after the first guy dies you picked them up and tossed them onto the same hook after they saw it respawn.

Pig itself I'd say is not only solid but actually high-tier, but I do have to agree that hangman's trick is absolute garbage now.
Back when it just respawned hooks really fast it actually had a use, you could stop worrying about having unhookable survivors if you had terrible map generation

How? She’s literally terrible. Her stealth is bad and almost requires tracking perks to work. Think that tons of people drop half their build on monitor / whispers to get a stealth hit when wraith / ghostface / Myers just walk up and get it for free.
Her anti loop is bad unless you have video tape and combat straps, in which case it’s still pretty bad.
And her power is totally RNG based and even with 12k of addons the survivor can still just get the hat off in the first try.

That's Too bad. I joined later in the game so I never got to experience it before it became trash.

Pig is not wraith, and should basically never be played like wraith. And the crouch-mode isn't bad at all, you're still completely removing your terror radius with very low cooldown.
Also if you really need an anti-loop ability to do well as a killer, you just seriously need to get good. Pig's dash is very situational and you probably should be using her size in chases, not the rather clumsy dash that will likely just waste your time.
The hat is there to literally waste time, and damn it is effective when survivors don't luck out with first try removal. Not very lethal that's for sure but while they test their luck you have good time to at least get some people hurt

A situational chase ability and an RNG-based stall ability does not a good Killer make.

I feel like a killer's power should be something they could use at any time, keeping the survivor's on their toes consistently instead of just once per survivor. You only get 4 RBTs, and once they're off, they're gone for good.
