what kind of game do you want?

Would you prefer a game population made up of all top level gamers or would you prefer a more robust player population?

The sad truth about this game is that it gets worse as you reach higher levels of play.

Comp is a perfect example of this, where there is no killer diversity and the only viable strats are gen rushing, camping and tunneling.

So no, more good players does not mean a better game.

    One doesn´t exclude the other.

Just balance around the top players. The normal player will want to become better.

I don't really like the idea of the game being balance for the top 1% or anything as then only they get to enjoy the game. Maybe around just above average/higher levels of play, but not top of the top, but who knows if that would actually work well. But if it does at least a lot more players would be able to enjoy it.

Right now it looks like we balance killers around the top 1% but not survivors. Its leading to a lot of problems like the current survivor que times. At the very least there needs to be consistent balancing on both sides.

I'd rather have a robust player base that range from New to Experienced and Sportsmen-like, than have it be top-tier Nike fans.

Personally, I'd rather have it be top tier/good players. I'd feel a lot more comfortable. It'd discourage lobby dodging. It'd give me confidence in my teammates (which is so rare). I could care less about the new players. They already frustrate me as is with this MM system putting them in my matches. As egotistical as this sounds, I really don't mean to be. I'm just tired of being matched with 12-20s who go down within the first few seconds of a match or rage quitting cause they don't care about their rank.

Some red rank teammates are let downs, but I'll take that over grey ranks, no question.

I mean, I want players to know what they are doing and not rely on meta builds to carry them...hope that answers your question.

One where I can see the new ######### UI properly before anything else

    Otherwise, top tier

We won't get everyone to top tier. Nor do I think everybody wants to be. Some people just play the game for their fun, do their best and it may not be enough to ge them through the kills or escape and that's ok.

I always make sure I don't pip too much when I reach the purple ranks because I don't want the sweat of red ranks and I know other people are like that too. Besides you get way more variety in gameplays, killers and everything at middle ranks that are fun. So... that's my answer.
