Power Struggle Buff

So, with Power Struggle, we see a perk that is hard to activate on occasion, similar to the problems with Flip Flop. Granted, Flip Flop is decent in that some Killers don't expect it and it grants enough room to escape should the Killer have been careless. I like this quality of Flip Flop.

With Power Struggle, the needed 25% wiggle progress is fine, but in most situations, especially if the user is Elodie, the Killer will most definitely avoid pallets, as even without Power Struggle it's a gamble to shuffle on through those, since a survivor could be waiting.

In my opinion, Power Struggle should at least have a secondary quality to it so that it can be just a little more viable. For me, I think it personally should increase the time it takes for the Killer to recover from your pallet stuns by 15%.

15% is a very small but noticeable increase, as that makes the stun last 3.45 seconds, nearly an extra half second to the stun. I think this would be a small, but welcome addition to Power Struggle, as it allows for just a little more benefit from it's usage. Thoughts?

TL;DR: Power Struggle should additionally allow a 15% increase to pallet stun duration (3.45 seconds).

I would think that is way too impactful for a perk that already has the potential to be extremely impactful to begin with.

Also running a survivors/killers perks on said survivor/killer is just silly and boring but that might just be me.

It's boring? Granted, i understand your opinion about impact... but using survivor/killer perks on the intended character makes them "them". i think its way more fun to use the perks given to the character to find their niche, and then add a fourth perk that compliments them. no way is it "boring", its more boring seeing people run 4 metas or 4 perks that play off too much on "one" thing (gen slow down, item finding, etc etc).

That was a bit abrupt... lmao. do you get stunned often or something? Not me being rude I'm just kinda taken aback but the ferocity, lol.

using what came with the killer or survivor is just uninspired to me, why even have a perk system if you are going to limit yourself that way?

the thing that makes them them is what you make of it, its your version of that survivor/killer, not what hte devs tell you to use.

Just the enough amount of stuns, with some killers you can't respect pallets, and 15% extra stun time it is a lot for a perk that in the right hands already do a lot.

I still remember the Cheryl squad who had tenacity, flip-flop and power struggle and were always buzzing me around with flashlights when someone got downed...

The perk is fine as it is.

It's more a perk to meme with but in a swf it can be very strong as there is no limit on the usage.

If you want the best out of it you have to use flip flop as you said and best is to use tenacity too, so if you go down you can crawl and recover at the same time especially when there are other survivors around.

But no need for a buff imo.

Also every killer that uses his brain won't walk past a pallet when carrying you.

But doesn't the Pallet stun duration last 2 seconds? It would take 2.3 seconds with a 15% increase.

Isnt this like saying though ds should allow me to get up and murder the killer if they slug me because most killers when they see an obsession slug if its the same survivor? A perk is judged on impact it has in the game giving it a secondary effect just because it can be useless with counterplay isnt how perks should work. Lightborne and franklins are useless in the case of no items so should we allow the killer to say have a greater view distance with lightborne and franklins they cant open chests by you smashing the chest. Left behind should get an ability to open a closed hatch like you have a key because the killer could shut the perk down by shutting the hatch?

Power Struggle is fine as it is. It surely needs a dedicated build to work but it never was meant to be "meta". And if you ever played Oni or another heavely slugging killer, you'll notice that this perk is a strong counter to slug.

  • an insanely strong perk needs needs to be buffed even further.....this is why the game is in the state it's in

Trash perk, how many people using it did you see? And on top of that how many players did ever get any value out of it?

I've seen value out of it 3 times and not even from my own games but streamers etc.

Everyone was freaking out and saying "imagine swf using it with flip flop yada yada" yet its rarer than zanshin tactics

I can understand this reasoning, but power struggle is already a bit abnoxious with flip flop, plus power struggle is completely fine where it is.

power struggle is also very impactful to the killer, due to him knowing he has to take different path’s and play differently around you, especially if they know you have flip flop with it aswell, the killer physically cannot slug you with power struggle and flip flop is your on a pallet, and worst of all, coordinated teammates can go for the pallet stuns if the killer isn’t slugging, meaning the killer is forced to take the pallet stun or let them recover. overall, power struggle is good enough.

I wouldn't say it's trash. If you run flip-flop with it and you are under a pallet you can't be picked up by the killer.

When? Maybe if you are in a swf, but if you are in a swf he can't pick you up regardless of power struggle, so you'd be wasting 2 perk's slots for something you can have for free

Or you know, you can use 1 perk called unbreakable, 99 it and get up stunning the killer when he's almost picking you up. But sure, a perk that needs another perk and being in swf to get the same result of a single perk that works even when solo is very solid and meta

I normally just play solo and I can pull it off as long as the killer slugs
