How Object of Obsession ruined my day today.
I mean, my first game I'm Freddy. From the start she's teabagging after I bring a Bloody Party Streamers. Because they messed up his dream realm so even at point blank, Object can see you. I couldnt mind game a single loop so I had to just leave her alone the whole game. It was only when she was healing others I got a hit but she just ran to every loop I'd need Bloodlust to have a hope of just out running her. Between that and when I'm chasing someone else, she just stayed in dream realm and triggered all my puddles and teabagged as I looked to see where they were. I got two kills against all reds and purples when I'm 17. Only because Object was a two man team and the other two played more like 15's rather than reds.
Second game I was a Deathslinger and you know how he really needs the stealth to sneak up and chain people. Well because Object is tied to giving visual while outside the terror radius, I couldnt do that. Every time I tried she ran off so I knew I'd never catch her. Then she would always just go back to the gen and work on it in front of me or while I was chasing someone around it. (Again just teabagging with it) I only managed to get her once all game, again only cause she was healing another and I had 8 stacks of PWYF.
I know this is a complaint but damn they really need to rework this perk. Make it that you have to be outside a distance of the killer, not just outside a terror radius. Cause imagine you're a Tier 2 Vanity Mike with M&A and they can see you through walls past 6 metres. Youd never get anyone.

OoO and Noed are the only perks I actually think really need changes. I always really liked Otz's ideas for both perks.

Last week this purk ruined my day. I know how its feel.

I´m sorry you fell victim to this nasty, abusable perk.
You haven´t even experienced the worst when it comes to Object, though. Try playing Trapper against a 4man with Object.
16 -
Oh I know. My 4 team tried it against him just to see how bad. The poor guy couldnt get any of us he gave up. We let him kill all us at the end just to say sorry but it was funny and sad at the same time just how bs this perk is.

I missed it, what were the changes?

WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OFF THE STEALT KILLERS!!!

From his FAQ:
OoO stops reducing killers (especially on maps like coldwind) into literally just being Machete men, and sucking the fun from the game. Still it offers a pretty powerful boost to people and useful aura, it's far from weak but you also can't stack it to abuse it since it works off the obsession still.
NOED would require some actual effort to earn, so killers would stop barely even trying and putting no effort in knowing that noed will secure them at least one kill; since if they did nothing during the game then survivors would be able to push through it if they play well enough. Also it works once the gates are powered, not the last generator, so it activates while counter play is still viable and is far less likely to just be a campey scenario.

The target of obsession, is without a doubt the most filthy perk I've ever seen, I don't know why the developers thought of making a ######### perk like that.
1 -
OoO isn't messed up in the dream world. That's how the dream world works.
Your issue was not with OoO. It was a rank 17 going against reds.
2 -
It's not just that, some players are just negative. even without object.
I've had survivors that know every dirty trick in the game and use it on me. I'm low rank killer, I'm trying to get better but I find it every frustrating because I'm doing the best I can and I get stomped 8 out of 10 games and tea bagged to death for it. Sometimes you just have to take the L and move on, or if you know one person is going to be an issue don't feed their trolling. I know it's a pain I wish more could be done about it myself.

Reminds me of my earlier match against the same, but as Hag. It was so fun watching my Trap counter constantly go back to 10 because all 4 just Flashlighted my traps, and I couldn't catch a single one because they all knew where I Was coming from at all times. It was a big ol' nope from me and I just quit the game for the day after that match.

OoO is not a horrible Perk for a Solo, but it is viciously abused by SWF. As a Freddy Player you have a great answer. The OoO can see you and you her/him. Teleport to Generator closest to the OoO behind them or whatever. When you are are close enough, OoO shuts down. Tunnel and kill them.
2 -
I recently had an OoO in my match when I wanted to play a relaxing game of Pallet Freddy. The moment I saw that, I was just like "Oh, well I'm not going to be able to play the game this match." I DCd and waited 5 min because that was preferable to the frustration that would have ensued. I just don't understand why in a game that revolves around not seeing where the killer is coming from right away, the devs made a perk that lets you see the killer pretty much at all times.

It's not even just a loss as trapper against OoO.
A loss I can handle; even if it's to something I feel is too strong.
The problem is it literally sucks the fun out of the game entirely, you basically can't use your power 85% of the time, you are just turned into Jason Voorhees aka Machete man. M1 M1 M1 M1 M1.... It removes any enjoyment from the match which is the worst offense anything in a game can make If I am being honest.

I was wrong.
Edit. Was. Wrong.

You can both see each other if Object is asleep as far as I know...

Feelsbadman, but I totally get it. I stop too when I get too many Objects in quick succession.
2 -
Something like this?
M1 Killer vs 13 x 2nd chance perks & 3 x OoO
3 -
Kudos to you my dude it looks like you did pretty well considering that greasy enemy loadout holy cow. Given their scores too you probably were on all their asses most of the match haha.
Without object i bet that would have been a 4k.
1 -
Exactly. Ggs.

Actually its not, at least 2 of them were too good at loops. They were actually toyed with me hard before leaving, because they still have many 2nd chance prepared
Thats why everyone's score were that high.
2 -
Not true. Freddy is oblivious with no TR.
Like you cant see cloaked Wraith or Mikey in Teir 1

I think I should clarify this Freddy and the obsession can still both see each other even when within the terror radius because when a survivor is asleep and oblivious it's not the same thing as when the killer is undetectable like cloaked wraith. And since the survivor is asleep it means they never actually enter the terror radius which means the secondary effect of OoO that causes it to deactivate when within the terror radius never happens.

OoO is hilariously broken. I've W game'd killers around the upper floor of Midwich for minutes at a time. But uh....something something survival rate I guess. Nevermind how it can completely suck the fun out of a game for one side or turn 110 killers into memes.
5 -
Oh.
Perhaps I am wrong.

Please stop spreading misinformation. Oblivious and Undetectable are two different status effects. An oblivious survivor gets permanent wall hacks on the killer which is why it’s the best perk against Freddy by far.
1 -
As far as I'm aware they can't. But I wouldn't be shocked to find they changed it.

Welcome to the family, son.
Prepared to get screwed over by abusable perks and terrible match making.
3 -
Yes, it's my favorite horror game.
2 -
Did You even read my comment above your post?
4 -
Thank you my good sir, or would it be more appropriate to say "Thank you, son."?

Anyone who knows me in real life will know that I quote that game 24/7.

I'm 100 hrs into the game and yesterday I was playing and for the life of me I COULD NOT find ANY survivors ANYWHERE! everytime I heard a gen and went there as I patrolled nobody was there. After several minutes I finally spotted a head behind a short wall and got a chase and a down and a hook. As I turned I saw it.... an aura. Across the map. I didn't have Barbecue running so I couldn't figure it out for a moment. The aura was almost flashing but only lit up as it faced me. Then I knew. OoO. I groaned in despair and trudged on, tunneled the shid outta that Object only to be sent on a wild goose chase as all the gens were finished. I did NOED one of the fools in the end and got one kill, but so glad that game was over.
2 -
The mistake you made was playing against OoO. OoO users know they have the upper hand and their entire goal is to make you mad. What do survivors do when they're faced with something they don't like? They DC or suicide on hook. Do something similar, go to the basement and face a corner.
The devs don't care enough about the killer experience so you shouldn't care about entertaining survivors. Alt+tab to youtube and let them seethe in anger at the fact that they can't bully you.
5 -
Letting a literal video game ruin your day lmao. Survivors rely extremely heavily on perks to carry them to victory are you even surprised at this point?
0 -
It has changed since they introduced the Oblivious status effect I guess.
The only way the survivor can’t see you during a chase is if they’re awake or if you use blindness add-ons with Freddy.
1 -
So you’re a hypocrite? You complain about a perk abused by survivors against you yet you do the same in a 4 man? Hmm... for that matter I hope karma comes back again for you.

Figures

OoO is the only perk I consider to be truly overpowered. Every other problematic perk in the game can be fixed with a small change but OoO has no place in the game. It will never not be abused. It doesn't do much for a solo sure, but this perk isn't a solo perk, it's a swf perk and by far the strongest in the game. Anyone who says object isn't very effective has absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
3 -
Did you even read it? We were testing how strong it is agsinst killers and WE LET HIM KILL US. God, people dont read these days.
0 -
You just need to play more and then you will get then someday. OoO is not realy a problem, it's more your mind that's freaking out If you see a object.
The perk has many downsides, so.... gut gud
0 -
I did. But it doesn’t make you a good guy for testing it in a 4 man let alone on a killer who’s power is supposed to be setting traps where survivors cannot see him place it. That doesn’t make you any more of a victim of it being used on you. You’re still a hypocrite. God, people can’t take responsibility for their own actions these days.

Anyone who runs OoO basically has a big sing on them that say "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!! I AM SPECIAL!!" but you can just ignore it. Or tunnel them out of the game.
0 -
The best thing to do when you see an object player as a trapper, Michael, deathslinger, or Freddy, it's best to just quit the match
0 -
Don't even bother to chase a OoO and hope they're not on comms.
The only time you want to chase the OoO is when it wants the unhook or at least 1-2 are already dead.
0 -
So OoO ruined your day because you only could 2k with freddy in rank 17 against reds and purples survs?. Imagine playing solo and get 0 escapes in 10 games against a semi good freddy. But for so many killers this is not a problem, of course.
0 -
Something something not a very effective perk something.
0 -
So... ultimately you just copied the same comeback I just gave. Well, wow, I just cant take you seriously now.
But to enlighten you you I will just say, we didnt teabag. Didnt even click click, no keys. Just Object testing. Stuff happens, we let him kill us to say sorry we tested on him but that's how testing works in a game when you dont have enough for a private game, you have to test online. And is testing often rough, yes. But thanks for your criticism, duly noted and forgotten. Not, how about you start being toxic elsewhere kid and leave the forum to constructive (preferably non insulting) conversation. Thank you.

I feel you didnt read it fully. The 2k I did get only by endgame was the 2 purples that played like yellow potatoes. But because the 2 reds carried them and did the hard work. It just took a long time getting them. Compared to the 2 reds playing every loop and exploit, the 2 purples were running into walls, running to windows that were no longer there.
