Is Cross platform talkback a possibility?

If cross platform play is possible, is adding console players to the groupchat a possibility?

I would love to be able to talk to the other players after game.

Some console players are some of the most inconsiderate players I've come across, the type to sit in a locker the whole game and then grab the hatch. They need to be talked to after the game and informed they are not team players.

Yes! All of this! It's definitely been my experience that the worst people are on console, the inconsiderate ones, the ones making avoidable mistakes, etc. Not that all console players are bad but it seems that all the bad people I come across are on console. Though, to be fair, it does have to be a huge pain to type a message using a joystick, but still.

as a console player I would like this option as well as some PC players can act the same :)

Oh, trust me, for me it is the other way around. All the useless/unskilled players I meet appear to be playing on PC. Well, no, they don't simply appear to, they DO, as I go check their steam profiles before I assert anything about them. Might be wise for you to start doing the same, instead of overgeneralizing.

As much as I'd love this feature to be finally added, even as just voice proximity chat, I doubt these people will ever remotely care they aren't team players. I've had people literally hide for a full 5 minutes while I'm looping the killer all so they can steal hatch and escape free, despite doing nothing to help and having barely 10k points. Escaping is just some peoples objective, regardless wether they help or not.

If they don't add cross platform chat, maybe they could add a couple more hand signals besides pointing and the come this way wave. I have one particular hand gesture in mind.

I feel your pain. This last game, it was down to two survivors. I unhooked the other player twice. They went down again and I knew it was death hook so I ran in and got the killer to chase me. I eventually healed them but in the process I went down. I get first hook and they run and hatch sit until I die.

I have a feeling this won't happen simply because of the further toxicity it would lead too. Already this community has people who are very toxic, who are out to make a game or someone's day bad. Who verbally assault people on their own platforms whether they played well or not. So I can only imagine they are shying away from this kind of option to help keep further toxicity from ensuing.

I'm a console player myself and usually solo, I see plenty of toxic behavior on both sides. While I feel like PC players have a superiority complex towards console players far too often then I like I still see plenty of selfish behavior amongst all sides. SWF groups being the worst whether they are console or PC. It doesn't always go badly but plenty of times I've been in matches where a 3 man SWF groups will be completely unconcerned with me. Leading 3+ minute chases only to be left to die on first hook, having people run past me while on death hook when the killer is no where to be found to go save their friend who is on their first hook.

Sad really because as far as the survivor side goes, it's 100% a team effort. But I don't let the toxic people get to me and always play for the team rather then my own survival. So many times have I died to get the rest of the team to get out and I still feel that to be a win~

So you want group chat to talk ######### to other players.

While PC players want to turn off chat.

  • I honestly hope crossplay never gets chat. I like playing against console players because sure they BM in game a LOT but they don't/can't say anything in that post game chat...

It can be useful though. For example, if you want to know if other players are bringing perks like Kindred or not then you don’t have to add it to your loadout and waste a perk slot.

They are way worse than PC players.

I have my own fan club that DDoS's me everytime they play against me.

I've also been spammed with party invites from multiple accounts for 6+ hours.

    It's awful.

if your intention is to berate anyone, attack anyone no matter the reason then i hope you never get that chance. communication cross platform is dependent upon the client used. those on pc and the microsoft store, you can talk to those on steam as the client is the same. but those on console does not have this as they do not always have a keyboard attached.

stop using bad manners! if you don't like someone's game play just ignore them and move on. it's a game.

  • I just had a claudette who found a key on console (I didn't know) I just went and made a drink waiting for them to take hatch- they never did they just hid and waited for like 15 minutes.

I finally went and closed the hatch figured they would open the gates. Nope.

They waited till like 3 seconds were left of EGC when I came back to the hatch to key in my face; they just wanted to punish me for not slugging for the 4k I guess? idk.

Like, I am playing trapper with THIS build and played clean:

Im not toxic im a newer player as it is i will sometimes jump into pepples twitch streams so i can gg and chat about the game fishing for tips.

The keyboard arguement is a little weak, Rocket league has the same style post game chat and it works fine

That is what you said the part of "They need to be talked to after the game and informed they are not team players." this is toxic because you are telling them HOW to play yet you expect not to be "TALKED TO" because you feel you are a team player etc. leave it be! LET THEM PLAY.

The "Keyboard argument" is a FACT, not weak and was not saying there can be no communication but on the console it'd be SLOW typing unless there was a physical keyboard involved. i'm not going to wait around on an end screen for someone to use hunt and peck typing that is espoused by the on screen keyboards. thus why they didn't include a chat window for the console clients and THAT right there is why there is no communication! THE DEVS DECIDED it wasn't worth it and left it off.

I didnt even quote the post your referring to i quoted the one about being inconsiderate and berating other people. My point was I dont do that i want to talk to people after a game so i can get better if you dont wanna stick around fine dont but some people will because they care about the health of the game and will offer help to newer players who aren't being dicks.

Your right the devs decided not to add it but the keyboard arguement is weak because some people do have keyboards or chatpads on controllers that allow for efficient chat.

Sounds to me youve got a little bit of that pc superiority showing through your post

I don't give a damn who has a console or a pc. i thought you were the op responding to me and I responded as such in reference to your comments. I'm sorry I made a mistake. still if you want to berate someone for being on a pc vice your console because you "FEEL" there is a bit of superiority there then you are pushing the toxicity you say you are not. I spoke of facts, you read into it as if I was 1) on pc a fact I never dissclosed and you assumed but that was a correct assumption I am on a pc. 2) being a person that would say i'm superior to others because of their equipment which I am not.

To me a console will be inferior to a pc only because it can not be upgraded with a new bit of equipment (no new video card etc) and that is where the pc superiority ends over console now days.

I have had some awful teammates before who farm you, leave you on hook, sit in a corner or locker all match and just generally are pretty much useless. I've also had killers tunnel me to death when gens are already at a stand still or camp me when no gens are done. But I have never and will never send a message or try in anyway to contact them because I am upset or annoyed at how they've played the game because who am I to tell anyone else how to play a game they have paid for especially when they aren't breaking any rules by playing that way. I don't have to like how someone has played in a match but there is absolutely no reason for me to harass someone about it. It's a an online video game so sometimes you're gunna have to deal with things you don't like and if it upsets you that much then maybe you should stick to playing offline games until you realise how to play with others.

All the toxic asshats are PC from my experience. All the swf seem to be crossplay players. So who knows man

I Will apologise as well it felt from your post that you were basically saying that cosole players didnt deserve the chat, because they wont have keyboards and will type too slow which is where the pc superiority comment came from.

I also dont care what people are playing on but social interaction about a game you enjoy should be an option for everyone. Some people will be toxic asshats no matter what platform they are on. I get toxic messages from pepple on console all the time but sometimes ive also got good tips that helped me play better, which is also why i jump over to twitch to chat with streamers i play against, which would be easier if the game chat was there.

oh i agree sometimes it's great to talk with people after! and as long as it's not you ######### up you twit type of talk i think it'd be great. I had just said that's more than likely why in 2016 they did not include end game chat on console because they didn't expect console to even care to chat just play again and again. i've played with console and people on the SWITCH that are damn good and also some that are real potatoes. I love it when people come into my channel and chat some. but i've also had people do that and jump in my discord and start playing clips that used the n word... i stopped them from broadcasting live and what not but still it's not always a good thing.
