Spirit should not be able to hear injured survivors!

as title says, you have literally no chance vs spirit if you are injured already as a survivor, unless you have iron will as a perk with you.

It's literally unfun to play against spirit like this. She should not be able to hear injured survivors during phasing. She is just op like this. NO counterplay against her.

Nerf already for healthier game experience for everyone

thx

You have no chance against Nurse while injured either.

    Or Freddy.

    Or Hag.

    Or Clown.

    You get the point.

If change her senses, it would be:

Currently: able to hear sounds, see scratch mark, but no blood drop. Blood drop from injured doesnt kill u, but the moan does.

Change: not able to hear, see scratch mark & blood. I think it would lead to the same result, except staying on dense grass will save you

    How do u change it?

Even with Iron Will, she can STILL hear you injured when she has Stridor. I've had so many matches where I have Iron Will, yet as long as she has Stridor, she and you will both hear your character still moan in pain, which really defeats the purpose of Iron Will.

your argument has nothing to do with the topic, it's just some childish counterpost with no constructive content. this topic is not about SWF, it's about spirit.

and i play solo only btw

during phasing she is so fast, she should neither be able to see blood nor hear the survivors, cause her power is so strong with phasing. it needs some kind of downside.

While I do think that Spirit needs some changes, this is not one I think would be good. I'm not defending Spirit or anything but sound is pretty much the most important thing in her kit, and robbing her of it would make her significantly worse.

It’s still 50% quieter, and honestly if you drop the chase before starting the phase you don’t even need it since you can just listen for footsteps.

I use Stridor on characters that are not spirit somewhat often and iron will still makes a huge difference.

    I'll try....

You make noise when injured. Spirit hears noise. She also emits a phasing sound when you're outside of her TR. So what do we do?

When she hits you the first time, MAKE DISTANCE. Don't run in place like a deer in the headlights. Literally the worst possible thing you can do. Get outside of her TR.

Now you're making noise. Use that. Let's say you have a window in front of you. She has a finite amount of time that she can phase. If you play Spirit (and you should if you're actually trying to improve here), you have a pretty good idea of how fast she can move. WAIT on one side of the window and vault when she's close. She sets off crows during phase and her footsteps make noise. Force her to commit to a direction while she's phasing and burn as much time as you can.

That's one example. That's the general theory. She's tough, but it's a 1v4, not a 1v1. Iron Will can help against an average Spirit but it'll be a wasted slot against a good one, Stridor or not. Distance+patience is the key.

I disagree, Your post mentions things about Spirit that you don't like and can't counter and, thus, should be nerfed because it isn't fun. My post brings to light that the exact same arguments you are making can be made by killers against survivors. I'm a rank 13 killer and played as Hag against a team made up of 1, 1, 2, 2 and it was the most toxic experience I've ever had. They got 3 gens SUPER fast, they didn't attempt to get my Ruin, then they baited me and looped me to death and the few hooks I got were short lived because the team swarmed and got their guy down and I got DS'd and Dead Harded like crazy trying to keep them hooked. I would love to see teams like that get nerfed to hell but the only true counter is for me to get better. I think the counter to what you are describing is to get better. Your hands may be tied playing solo but so are mine.

That's all, have a pleasant day.

cool, I never said that SWF is weak. I agree SWF needs nerfs, but it still has nothing to do with this particular topic. You are changing the subject, you play even hag, and this is about spirit.

She doesn't need a nerf, she needs a rework and some big changes.

I hate going against spirit mainly because in chase she has no audio or visual signs of using her power like every other killer in the game. However even I think that's way to far, I mean her power is dependant on being able to hear survivors because they are invisible when she uses it, making them have no sound as well makes her power completely useless.

This is not a good idea. You obviously don’t know what the issue with Spirit is. She needs to give the survivors information about what she’s doing. If she wasn’t able to hear injured survivors, she will lose information while still not giving information to survivors, which is what the main complaint is. Spirit would be so unplayable if you can’t hear anyone while in her power along with her still being a gamble to play against.

Also Spirit shouldn't be able to see in phase. If light doesn't bounce off the back of your eye your brain can't process the image.

    I can somewhat agree.

Even against iron will survivors, tracking with her can be mediated through either subterfuge or prediction. That being said, built in iron wills may be free license for survivors to just walk away, rendering her power pretty much useless, so I think that it should be a 50% reduction, give or take.
