I don't want bad Killers

Bad Killers don't play like Good Killers but bad.

They have no map pressure. Avoid chases and try to get as many free hits as possible, which they usually achieve by camping. It feels like they want to play the game without actually playing the game.

None of this will ever make them better. And it doesn't really seem like they care. I used to largely avoid this by playing Red Ranks, but since the Devs "accidentally" turned on MMR again it's been Rank 10-15 Killers. Which is zero fun because you can get a four or three man escape every game while still de-ranking or barely getting a neutral rank because there was almost no actual Killer interaction with anyone.

I would much rather be destroyed by a Spirit, Freddy, Deathslinger, Nurse or Blight that can pressure the map and chase. Then play against some No ED, doesn't chase camper that seems like their brain is melting from all the "stress" of playing Killer while standing still in front of a hook.

What happened in the last month that made Killers stop playing? All I can think of is the bad DLC but that should've made both sides play less

Probably a lot of salt over the mori shadownerf while keys remained intact. If I had bought blight with money instead of shards I would also be pretty upset about the undying nerf. There was also the Pyramid Head nerf when if you looked at the stats was the most played killer at almost 10% across all ranks.

Honestly, you might be right. Letting bad killers think I'm not ego threatening might let me farm better in games that otherwise would've been a camp fest

I feel you. I’m rank 3 but still so sweaty to play in this level. Especially there are times when I want to try non meta or memeish builds but it’s impossible. While the otherside sweat their way to win....

    This is true.

A lot of the longtime killer players have left the game due to boredom, either because they find the new killers/maps uninteresting or they find the game has become too easy to them as they've been playing since killer used to be way harder and don't find the game challenging anymore. I find myself taking longer and longer breaks from this game until new content releases. And if the content sucks like the SH chapter or the Twins then I grow even less interested.

I've grown pretty disillusioned with killer in the last year or so, I'm not enjoying it as much due to a multitude of reasons (new perks mostly suck outside of the rare good one, new maps are insanely dark and not fun to play on, newer killers outside of Blight/Oni are braindead easy and boring to play as or are just poorly designed like Twins). I pretty much exclusively play Doctor and Micheal nowadays as they're OK mid-tiers and there just aren't enough good survivors to give me a challenge.

I mainly just play Solo nowadays but even then at peak times it takes forever to find a match as thats when everyone is on after work/school. Killer is instant but due to the player count imbalance I'll get instant matches with potatoes who just let me kill them and the match becomes a hook checklist instead of a fun/challenging game. Solo is getting worse all the time, too.

I play killer around Rank 9-12. I'm new. I'm learning and I've gotten a lot better than I started. I don't face camp and I only tunnel or proxy camp when it's strategic. I can hold my own against a green/purple team and have a really good, fun game.

I'm tired of facing 3 and 4 red ranks in every game though. Most of the people I play against are so much better than me that I don't learn anything from it. The game is done in 7-8 minutes and 3-4 escaped. I might not have even seen 1 or 2 of them until the gates power up and the harassing begins. I'm not playing for you to farm bp off of. I play to have fun, which I haven't had much of this weekend.

We do agree though. I don't want you to have bad killers either. I would much rather you be destroyed by a Spirit, Freddy, Deathslinger, Nurse or Blight and give me time to get good enough to be one of those.

I mean. Deathslinger doesn't have good map pressure, he can just end chases really quickly. But other than that, I don't care if I vs someone good or bad, I just hate that survivors aren't taught by the devs themselves and the streamers they look up to that they need to stop calling everything unfair and not paying attention to how they play and how their actions had consequences. If the killer is bad they'll get a 0k even with noed in their build and a squad of Soloq survivors. If those survivors don't also play bad and get themselves killed then blame the killer.

If the killer is a camping bubba, why would you go up to save and then cry about going down?

Why would you run towards the hook while the killer is walking away and be mad they saw or heard you going then turn around to tunnel the person you unhooked?

Why would you stay doing the same generator that the killer keeps going back to check on and keeps downing and hooking people by?

Why would you use your unbreakable in front of the killer without being on a pallet, having sprintburst or being able to deadhard to a window or pallet?

Why would you keep healing in the killer's terror radius when the killer keeps magically popping up when you do it? That's a telltale sign of nurse's calling.

Why would you keep letting someone touch the generator you're on, or touching someone else's generator when whenever you're on a gen with someone else the killer keeps showing up? Tell tale sign of Discordance.

Why would you not cleanse totems if the killer is bad? Bad killers usually have NOED.

Why would you not bodyblock an injured person running near you if you're healthy? (Unless it's bubba or billy who'd be able to get an insta down)

Why would you spend more time healing than doing generators unless you're vsing a stealthy killer or in a 3gen?

Why would you not be cautious if the killer keeps going to generators when they're close to being done? Telltale sign of Tinkerer.

ETC. Moral of the story is, bad killers only kill survivors who make bad decisions. To deal with our issues of latency and stuff survivors have a lot of second chance perks. It also helps to run a medkit so you can heal yourself mid-chase or when no one else can. If I want to play survivor to my most annoying potential I bring a medkit cause tunneling is normal in low and high ranks and I leave botany on my main build so I can heal faster to counter sloppy butcher, slugging, as well as heal myself mid-chase. If I vs a bad killer, they won't kill me unless the gens don't get done while I'm being chased or for whatever reason I have a brainfart and make a costly mistake.
