Survivors should be able to break breakable walls

If the maps reworks are going as they are, then breakable walls are kind of just walls with different skins, most of them don't make or break anything and the one that does is in Springwood, which has house loops.

When Haddonfield's rework comes along the only way they could remove house loops would be to block off every single window and litter the houses with breakable walls.

If breakable walls don't really provide anything to killers, at least give survivors the ability to break through them, add some tension to the game during a chase or whatever.

I know it's a bad idea, but as a survivor main they're just an inconvenience and the killers don't break them, so they just sit there an do nothing.

    I agree!

I’ve been advocating for this too, they could introduce another item “Axe”. It could be interesting.

Im pretty positive they will do it in the future 😄

Yes, more things to do as a survivor are always welcome.

I actually agree with this, feeling it’s important for both sides to have that benefit.

Killers have power directly from the entity to be able to break pallets and smash walls, so I’m wondering (if survivors are one day capable of breaking walls) how this would be justified.

Make it take 20+ seconds to dismantle the wall as a survivor and ill bite. Allowing survivors to open stronger loops needs to not be easy as the time investment of 1 survivor =/= time investment of the killer.

I dunno, bad and/or toxic survivors might break walls they shouldn't break, making chases easier for Killer. Though it could be used to open up stronger loops for Survivors, not that I can think of many new stages in which this is actually a thing.

Except for the one room upstairs in dead dawg saloon, why would you want to break the walls as survivor? Except for that one room that is a dead end every other breakable wall I've seen cuts down on the time it takes the killer to catch you. If the killer wastes time breaking a wall that's more time for you to get away from him. Wouldn't breaking the walls for killer help him more than you?

I think it'd be cool to have a perk that lets you break walls (as survivor) and you get tokens from it that do something (but I don't really know what they could do)

Maybe they could add this as an additional effect for the perk ‚Any Means Necessary‘ in some way..

Please no. Breakable walls are a terrible bandaid for poor design, and so far the only good use for them has been to block off ridiculous loops such as the ones on Badham (the other use seemingly being to create god loops or windows that force the killer to break the wall). Survivors shouldn't be able to give themselves such permanent advantages in a game where they're supposed to manage their resources. A better suggestion I've seen was to make survivors build the walls in the first place - for example, the god-window walls at Ironworks and Storehouse.

I think Scott Jund suggested making breakable walls able to be built up by Survivors, so then they have an actual dynamic purpose. Would make them more interactive.

Some breakable walls are pointless but some benefit the killer to break them. It would be a good idea if they removed the pointless ones and added more that benefitted the killer to actually break. Then I think it would be great to let the survivors be able to build them back up again which could take as long as cleansing a totem maybe.
