Losing Rank in Match Cancellation

Rank 1 as I loaded into the lobby. Match got canceled, unfortunately, and I lost a pip because of it.
Why? Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I also just had that. I lost a pip when the match was cancelled. All survivors lost a pip and it was a permeant loss and not a visual glitch.
