That's just how totem works. Sometimes they will spawn in godly hidden places, sometimes not. It's a risk build.

its been soooo easy to cleanse totems. every game, we cleanse rundying or devourdying so fast its not even funny lol.
there was a reason it was so strong before. totems are trash.

And in some games going against fast killers blight, spirit, etc. Sometimes it's almost impossible.

"soemtimes"? "godly hidden places", i'm sorry, but that's not true at all, the odds are like
10% they spawn in a godly place
90% they just spawn near a gen/ in front of a gen/inside a common loop/near a pallet/at the top of a hill/in the middle of the map without cover.

With Undying nerfed survivors can go back to gen rushing in full force again.

The Undying nerf was definitely justified in my opinion, but I do agree that totem spawns can be pretty messed up lol. The other day I spawned next to one even closer than in the picture here. I could cleanse it without even having to move from my spawnpoint. Pretty crazy.

This was predictable, and as indicated above - totems still end up in wide open fields or right next to a gen in the middle of a map. Devs want us killers to dedicate 2 perk slots to something that can disappear in 20 seconds?

I agree that Undying needed to be looked at and adjusted, but as is usually the case with the game, when there's a problem -- in this case, the problem being that totem spawns tend to be horribly exposed an incredibly high percentage of the time -- instead of fixing the underlying issue (the spawns), they issue a perk as a quick fix.
Until totem spawns are at least made somewhat harder to find (a few maps -- the old Game, Hawkins, Lery's, Midwich, and Glendale being the few exceptions) -- Hex perks are too much risk/too little realized reward to make a difference, more often than not. I'll still run them, but I've come to expect any significant value to be a pleasant surprise.
I'm curious if the awful totem spawn on the Asylum map is still there in some fashion. Reworked maps haven't fixed that issue -- this is still my favorite among the new, reworked maps. I could only wish it had spawned next to a gen -- that actually would have been an improvement, lol. 🤣

Undying transfer others hex totems to his place
so, only 1 respawn
and if the survivor know where both are.... useless

So if a survivor cleanses ruin, it's now put on the undying hex and the undying disappears?

it's almost like hex perks are designed to be high risk high reward....almost...
where do you suggest they put them? in the middle of deadzones? some maps are going to be better than others at hiding totems. don't act like hawkins, the game, lery's and midwich don't exist.

Ah good to see that they didn´t fix the totem spawns after making them much easier to find during the last 2 months.
I mean, it´s pretty obvious, when totems suddenly spawned on top of hills or in front of them, instead of the lightly hidden spot they had before.
Yep, the Undying nerf was totally justified, with how hard it has become to find totems...

Wish those were my games as survivor. For me it's been quite balanced totem spawn.
I mean... there are bad spawns and there are good ones. I think it's worse on older maps that have not been reworked yet, were they may spawn in the middle of the map with a neon sign. But other than that, I don't think they are overall that easy. But then again, I don't play this game everyday to have memorized all totem spawns and I know many survivors who don't as well. But maybe those who do play this often enough will just know every secret location, so it wouldn't matter anyway, imo.

For the most part in even the graphically updated maps, totem spawns are still pretty much the same. There are 3 terrible spots, and either 2 decent ones with a really good spot.

and undying was fine before
if the survivors cleanse undying first, other hexes don't respawn a single time
where is the big reward now? if they know where both hexes are, they gonna broken it 100%
