Remove Killer hook count

So im a killer main, and its hard to believe but... I can count.

Sometimes i mix up wich survivor got hooked how often, but the overall hooks are not hard to remind.

So if you dont give us the exact hook numbers just give us nothing.

I am serious, just remove the icon off my screen. I dont need it and people who are able to count (which should be 100% in a 18+ game) dont need it either.

Survivors can keep it, its usefull as solo i guess so its cool, but for me its just a waste of space.

It provides zero value so just let it be gone.

This is correct - it provides next to no value. If anything, since it doesn't let me track how many hooks per survivor, I am just as likely to toss them back up on a hook early the 3rd time if I'm not paying attention. So what does it accomplish? Everyone can tell how the game is going already.

Does anyone know what that is even for?

People have speculated that it's there to help with adept, but... adept is still a complicated mess to achieve on killer, as it's still so much more than the hookcount.

    Why is it there?

As is it does feel pointless. I would be into keeping count like the survivors have. It just feels like an annoying thing to remind yourself that just isn't necessary

It's funny as if you mori someone or they die on 1/2 hooks it just shows 3 hooks anyway. Literally useless

Without telling us which survivors have the hook it literally serves no purpose whatsoever and adds nothing to the game.

But if they give us the info the survivors have that is more accurate, it will encourage killers to tunnel and actually do their job which is to kill survivors better (for newer players at least). It is apparently bad because the killer will feel more encouraged to get someone out of the game faster.

That was the devs' reasoning for giving killers the hook counter which is just eh.

But but, how will you get your feeling of accomplishment after getting 8 hooks and 4 survivors escape.

Or even better, 1/12 in your progress with survivors already done 3/5 of their progress in first 2 minutes. Very encouraging indeed.

It's pretty pointless and I hate clutter. I wouldn't care if it was gone. Make it small and in the corner and I'm fine with that too.

Honestly I find the Hook Count to be disheartening when playing Killer, especially with how much easier it is this year to be Gen Rushed. When you see 4 gens complete and not even half your Hook Counter filled really kills your mood to keep playing. It's such a downer part of the HUD.
