Devs Please I Beg You Fix Your Reporting System
Just got held hostage for 15 mins by a Doctor Killer in a match. One survivor DCd due to being held hostage and he killed another. Finally it was just me and another. He wouod down us and leave us. We would heal then try our best to do gens. Finally we had enough and stood there for five minutes while he just continually shocked us. This went on forever. I’m on console and all we have is just a silly report button. We can’t show the video clip from the match and give it through console. The reporting system is a joke. After 15 mins or more of this the doctor finally killed me and of course sent a message saying “EZ”. I told him I reported him for holding the game hostage and he just laughed. These kind of people, hackers, trolls, and greifers, know the devs won’t punish and can’t do to their report system.

Killer can't hold the game hostage only refuse to down you. Either your doing gens or bleed out on the ground, game over. I'd understand if they did the drop trick to force you up, but your meter still ticks away if it's not immediately after being downed.

He was not holding the game hostage, you could do gens or bleed out

I wasn’t allowed to bleed out. My teammate kept healing me for some reason. She wanted to play along with him holding the game hostage. So every time I was downed he would let her heal me.

He sat there and damaged the gens while we worked on it. And for some reason my teammate kept healing me when he downed me. I didn’t heal her with she went down to try to end the game but she rose right back up. I guess with that unbreakable perk or something. Then the cycle started all over again.

I believe that's kinda of the same as being forced to farm against ur will, and, if I'm not mistaken, that's bannable, idk how it works to report on console tho :/

The In game report system is a joke. Team wont do ######### unless YOU bust your ass, record it, upload it you youtube and smear it all over the forums twitter and other social media. Even when you DO send things in 'the right way' nothing gets done. Waste of time.

first of all you do not know this, and they can not tell you what they did to another for LEGAL reasons. This is the case with ALL games. Also if you do not use the ticket system in conjunction with the report system in game AND actual evidence what can they do to act? NOTHING, if you accuse someone of breaking into your house you have to have evidence of their break in for it to stand up in court.
you need to report them on the scoreboard screen then you need to go to the customer support and fill out a ticket with additional player information. This is where you can present your evidence of what happened.

When you meet the same speed hackers, game hostage holding, racist and verbally abusive players sending you death threats because you're black, over a course of a week, after having submit such documents and reports multiple times.
Yeah, I'm standing behind saying: They are doing nothing about the reports.

If you hold shift and move you can't be healed by another survivor

Then it's both that survivor and killer working together, that's reportable. Killers by themselves cannot hold a game hostage.

That first part isn’t true. Overwatch’s report system tells you when they take action against someone you’ve reported via pop up when you log into the game. It doesn’t tell you who specifically or how they punished them of course. But it’s a nice feature to know your reports are actually doing something.

Does Overwatch tell you what they do? well no they don't. some companies take the stance that even telling you they took action is more than the law allows. so no what I said is NOT incorrect at all. Just because one company does it one way does not mean all companies will do it that way, and many smaller companies (and Blizzard is a huge company) opt to do things that is even more safe than they have to so YES I am correct. Let me ask you this: If you are driving 55 in a 55 zone, is it legal for another to drive 50 in the 55 zone?? the answer is YES it is legal to drive SLOWER than the speed limit and thus taking a stricter stance than the law allows does not mean that not telling you what is going on is for legal reasons. Ask any Lawyer you know and they will tell you, if a company takes a stricter stance they are still acting in accordance to the law.

why are you comparing breaking traffic laws and burglary to a video game lmao. you’re wrong sowwy.

because you were saying that another company chooses to do something different due to their interpertaions on the LAW, and the speed limit is a LAW as well. so the analogy works. if the law says you can not reveal specific information about a person one company could see letting you know that action has been taken as revealing specific information about a person to someone that has no legal right to know. another company may choose to take a different stance. Both are correct under the law, depends on the company, just like my example of the speed limit, one person could decide they'd rather drive 50 in the 55 where as another decides that they will drive 55 in the 55. Both are correct and within the bounds of the law yet it's their specific decisions on how to act within the law.

They play on console, no shift button. I too thought if you kept moving you cannot be healed.
