Hillbilly is just a worse version of Demogorgon
While playing DbD today, I played Demogorgon and then Hillbilly, and came to a realization.
Demogorgon is just like (current, nerfed) Hillbilly, except better in pretty much every way.
Hillbilly has to charge up his chainsaw for a couple decades, then he charges at increased speed, making a loud-ass warning scream, to instant down you, with almost no ability to change direction
Demogorgon charges up his lunge for like a second, then rushes forth almost instantaneously to damage you, also with almost no ability to change direction.
Hillbilly used to have a large advantage in that he could sprint around the map in circles and get to gens really fast, but now he changes direction so ######### slow, it's very difficult to avoid obstacles.
Not to mention, Hillbilly's chainsaw can overheat for some god-forsaken reason, so if you rev it too long, and (I think) if you even sprint for too long, you get stunned and omega punished
On the other hand, Demogorgon can hold his charge for as long as he pleases
Not only that, but Demogorgon can also make portals, not only letting him teleport across the map (at speeds comparable to chainsaw sprint + going through obstacles) but also showing him nearby survivors.
Can we please buff Hillbilly? He has basically no redeeming qualities when you can just play Demo, or Ghostface/Myers if you want to instant down.

The difference is that Billy's chainsaw is a one-shot down while Demo's shred is not. I do agree the overheat mechanic was BS and shouldn't have been added to his kit. His add ons needed nerfs but base Billy was perfectly fine.

Not really billy is more threatening in the open and at certain loops he also has better map pressure.

It didn’t even make him that much worse people just don’t have fun with him anymore. It’s sad because he was so fun to face as survivor

Yeah, I love facing Billy. It's a shame because I barely see anyone playing him anymore. Devs need to get rid of that overheat mechanic.

Are you new to DbD? because hill billy seems to be a difficult killer for new players.
If you think hill billy is worse than the demo, it's because you don't know how to use billy.
Look betleguy on twitch he is main hill billy, or umbra or ohtofu with billy and you will see that it is in fact he is more strong than demo, but in reality there are no stronger or weaker killers, only bad users of the killers.

Just grind for Apex mufflers and play stealth billy, trust me, its fun.

Yeah I don’t see an issue besides changing like 4 addons and reverting it back. Don’t understand how billy was op “according to stats” so they nerf him but spirit is fine?

demo is a budget billy i dont know what level your playing at but billy is still a top tier killer and demo is still staying near the bottom

I started playing when the game first released (before Myers came out), and I have about a thousand hours.
His steering feels like he's trying to run through a vat of honey nowadays, it used to be possible for me to flick around corners and steer like a human but now it feels like I'm fighting the game to do anything

How so? I gave like 6 reasons why Demo is strictly better, and you gave 0.
I played them back-to-back the day I made this post, and I was like "wow, Demo is just so much better in every way"

Overheating is silly and also trash, but they've made his steering feel like molasses too, and you always have to charge for like 5 seconds because there's no speed addons anymore

There's nuance that you clearly haven't gotten. Billy has incredible map mobility on demand, which demogorgon lacks. He also has the instadown capability, the opportunities to use occur much more often than you'd think.

This isn't even remotely correct.
First off Billy has autodown. Demo doesn't. Demo has lunge. Billy doens't. Demo can teleport. Billy can't. Billy can dash. Demo can't.
So much wrong with this post I am not even going to bother saying more than that.

A killer that can run for long distances, turn, instantly down survivors, and has a time limit...
Is similar to a killer that leaps a medium distance, cannot turn well, cannot instantly down survivors nor trigger any M1 perks, set down teleports, and can be used limitlessly without drawback (aside from the teleportation). Which is blatantly incorrect on several levels.
If you want a better comparison, look at Oni being similar to Hillbilly, because you're currently looking in the wrong direction to make comparisons.
