Do the level designers actually play their own game?

It's ######### UNBELIEVABLE how survivor sided The Game is now. God pallet after god pallet after god pallet back to back to back.

Remove this map from rotation, it's absolute trash.

It is kind of mindblowing how they managed to make this map worse. It feels like it was designed years ago with how many safe and god pallets there are.

I was playing Survivor yesterday and I killed myself with a God Pallet. Was running away from a Ghost Face on the Game and threw down a pallet, only to realize that my way was blocked by a breakable wall and was basically in a cage.

  • Yes, but I imagine with rose tinted glasses.

I actually think they added enough breakable walls that's it become even more killer sided than it was before. Very easy to get trapped

I mostly see killers smashing every wall they see cuz they block the killer from reaching important places too. Plus, if the killer forgets, sometimes they can't reach a hook cuz of the breakable walls.

I think that this rework was rushed. The breakable walls creating dead ends doesn't make up for it because those walls are often blocking off important pathways for the Killer. Hook distribution already wasn't the best on The Game, but it's even worse with the rework.

Didn't Otz do a test run on The Game after it went live and counted over 20 pallets?

The game yeah, but also haddonfield has at least two infinite loops, I think springwood also has more than one.

And then there's maps like some of the swamp maps and autohaven in particular have huge deadzones which is the opposite problem.

It's a new map, give it a while and then pass judgement.

Even then, it's incredibly presumptuous of you to even question if they play their game. Of course they do. But they are themselves, with their own special insights, not the game's base.

That means it is closer to balanced. Previously, entire rooms did not have a single pallet.

We don't need a "while" anymore to know if a map is unbalanced, we know how the game is played and what's good and bad. The Game already was incredibly survivor sided and they made it even worse.

Probably not, when I was a QA Tester I never played any games that I tested.

The game was ambiguous. If you had incredible prediction and map knowledge, it gave credence to whoever held that knowledge. Despite the fact that it is rather survivor sided at the moment, we should still give it time to prove itself. People thought spirit would be weak, after all.
