BT rework?

Shouldn’t BT trigger when the killer is within a certain distance of the hook rather than it working based off the terror radius? Currently Freddy, Pig, Wraith, Ghostface and any killer using Insidious can stop BT from activating, so if they choose to camp, goodbye teammate lol.

With perks like DS rightfully being reworked, I think it’s time that BT is looked at. It’s especially stupid that Freddy can completely prevent it from activating by hitting you before you unhook.

Additionally, can we please make it based off of distance and time?

"If a Killer is within X distance of the hook for X seconds, Borrowed Time can be activated."

The only time I see BT used is to make really dumb plays.

That’s a good idea. I hate as a survivor when I’m insta-saved for no apparent reason. BT doesn’t mean just grab me off the hook before the killer has even had chance to leave lol. I also hate when I’m killer and people follow me to the hook during EGC and insta-save before I have chance to interrupt. There’s literally nothing I can do during that situation to secure a kill.

I really like that idea too. This mechanic is so abused it’s ridiculous. I know you can wait the timer out, but when it happens during EGC and they’re heading to a gate, you can’t afford to simply wait it out.

I'm fine with pretty much any buff as long as unhooked survivors can't body block me.It's annoying and goes past the anti-camping perk aspect

Yep,similiar to DS Borrowed Time often times gets used aggressively even though it's meant to be a defensive (anti-camping) tool.

I actually don't have a problem with BT tirggering off killer's distance over their TR. I remember the days when BT worked for both survivors. That sucked. Id be perfectly fine with this change.

Honestly, BT doesn't even need an activation radius. It just needs something to prevent it from being abused by farmers/second chance squads, like perhaps an activation timer or a protection hit punishment.

PLEASE this would be a godsend.

It's so upsetting when it's just a completely wasted perk slot against Freddy and any killer with the capability to become Undetectable.

Funny enough when I saw the title I was expecting some sort of nerf...but you wanted a buff...to an already meta and probably top 3 best perks in the game...lol

9/10 times this perk is getting used aggressively and not to prevent actual camping or tunneling of someone. It's a zero cost, zero skill requirement, no cooldown, second chance perk that can be extended to give the second chance to another player by body blocking for them...

To be honest the blocked hit should transfer the hit to the rescuer. Now it actually prevents tunneling/camping but doesn't allow it to be abused and makes the rescuer actually think a little before just yolo'ing in the for the save with little thought process going on. IE now it will actually require a little skill, have some cost, and not be abusable.

If you actually read my responses to other people in the thread, you’d see that what I proposed isn’t a buff. Just a rework. It should activate when the killer is within a certain radius of the hooked survivor. Killers like Freddy shouldn’t be able to deny it. The hooked survivor should also be on the hook for a while before it can be used, as to avoid the rushed saves and the person with the BT activated on them should have no collision so they can’t body block for their friends.

It would still be a strong perk, but this way it won’t be abused / misused.

But why should killers like Freddy and Wraith be able to camp and deny BT’s activation?

I'd really appreciate this change as it's pretty dumb that oblivious and undetectable nullify BT.

*As in, literally every time you unhook someone they get BT regardless of anything.

Then you should put that in your post. Not expect people to read down through all your responses to other people.

If it got the no collision change I'd be okay with that rework.

    100%

Terror radius is a stupid way to do it. Should absolutely be based on distance to the hook.
